It didn’t come with an owners manual so dad ordered one from eBay for $30

Also doesn’t have a jack or lug wrench for spare tire so dad ordered a use set from eBay for $100 so I have that as well

Need to change driveshaft still but only get a vibration at speed over 65mph. Toyota wants $1350 for drive shaft but 1aauto has one of $350 and dad said we could change it ourselves in a couple hours at the most.

All these posts was on the GearCrushers website when that was a thing so just moving them over to this site so the dates are way off. Let me catch up with the comments from the other site here:

Ordered driveshaft and removal wasn't bad, the install was another story. The bolts towards the front of the car snapped in half. Wasn't sure how to recover so had vehicle towed to Muffler Man for $100 and had some help removing bolts I snapped off the transfer case yoke while putting on new driveshaft and new muffler put on as well. Total bill was $650 which Dad paid.

We got plates put on the car which cost Alex $191 but his plates expire on his birthday in 6 months at which time he'll have to pay the $122 to renew for a year.

Check Engine light came on when we took it out for a drive today so made an appointment at Toyota tomorrow at 10am to have them help identify the issue since I didn't have a scanner at the time. Of course by the time I drove there and turned the car off and they started it up the Engine Light was gone. Came home and later started the car and check engine light was back on. Went to AutoZone and bought and bought a mid priced scanner. Low tire pressure sensor which I cleared and all is good.

Put new Radio in so Alex doesn't take his eyes off the road when using GPS or text messages and phone calls. Its was a little more than $200 off of Amazon and fairly easy to install. We did that together so he knew how it all went together.

His tire blew out on the freeway and he handled it pretty good but drove too far on the rim and now that rim is toast. He found out the lug wrench he had wouldn't work on his lug nuts/rim so I ordered him a new lug wrench but to address the sitation of a flat tire that day I called RoadRunner towing and had it towed down to Belle Tire and his mom paid for some new tires.
