I use iTunes to organize all my music and keep it organized for the simple fact that many programs will pull tracks and information from iTunes as well as keep my iPod up to date.



DJ Software packages that will play music from iTunes include


  • MegaSeg 5 (not any version older)
  • Serato Scratch Live
  • Traktor Scratch Pro
  • Virtual DJ



So to help keep your music organized in iTunes the attached script may be worth downloading and placing the files in /user/library/itunes/scripts



What it does is search your music folder and compare it against what iTunes sees and if any songs are not in iTunes it will create a text file with the song and the path. This is compliments of Dougs Scripts
