A Fully Loaded Jeep Recon Costs $78,125 Before It Even Hits The Trails

Real offroading requires the very best and toughest vehicles; going out into the wilderness and traversing unpaved, uncharted terrain is demanding on any machinery. Which is why when Jeep announced it would launch the brand's first Trail Rated all-electric vehicle, people were curious.

The 2026 Jeep Recon is finally upon us, and right off the bat, we needed to find out just how customizable it is, given that it is a Jeep product, the brand that promises "Endless Freedom To Explore."

Before we get into the nitty-gritty of the actual cost of adding the options, credit must be given to Jeep for coming out with one of the best configurators we've ever used. It is very simple and straightforward; instead of multiple pages and tabs, it just scrolls down effortlessly. Each option is properly highlighted and explained, along with its corresponding price. It is also very smooth and doesn't have bugs that sometimes cause other configurators to crash, leading to frustration when you have to start all over again.

The base price of the Jeep Recon is $65,000 without destination fees, which is not bad compared to the competition. It's also very easy to understand the Recon lineup because there's only one variant: the Recon Moab. Things start with the exterior; you can opt for a single color or go two-tone. The most expensive option for each is the orange-and-black, which costs $995. If you are so inclined to remove the doors of your Recon, you would lose the side mirrors, but luckily, the Mopar Doors Off Mirror Kit will give you back attachable mirrors for $695.

Price Jump

One of the more expensive options for the Recon is the Mopar Rock Rails; these are built from heavy-gauge steel, providing protection for the rocker panel and lower body side. Changing the rims to the 18-inch aluminum option costs $500, while the interior options are all free, leaving you to choose between Global Black and Joshua Tree as colorways. If you want the one-touch soft-top, that's gonna cost you a cool $1,995. The last costly option is the comfort package; this gives heated second-row seats and ventilated front seats, an interior rear-facing camera, and a digital auto-dimming rear-view mirror, all for $1,995.

Considering the entry price of just $65,000, the final total after selecting the most expensive options is quite steep. In the end, the total of our fully kitted-out Jeep Recon Moab costs $78,125, a $13,000 jump from the base price, which is a lot of money. However, it must be noted that some important features come standard, such as the Uconnect infotainment system and all-terrain tires.
