Bugatti May Be Building A Tourbillon-Bolide Mashup For One Very Lucky Buyer

(0 reviews)

The Bugatti Tourbillon was revealed in 2024, and now that customer deliveries have begun in 2026, the Molsheim-based automaker is preparing its next big thing, an even more extreme version of the V16 hypercar. According to a report by The Supercar Blog, the next Bug will be a mix of the Tourbillon and the Bolide, Bugatti's track-only hypercar based on the Chiron. This new incarnation of the Tourbillon will reportedly form part of Programme Solitaire, a division of Bugatti dedicated to highly bespoke coachbuilt special editions that gave us the one-off Brouillard and the one-off F.K.P. Hommage.

According to TSB, the third Solitaire creation will be a mix of the Bolide and the Tourbillon, but very few details are available, so it's unclear if this will be restricted to the track. However, the fact that this is part of Programme Solitaire seems to suggest that this new model won't be as common as the 40-unit Bolide. After all, the clue is in the name, 'Solitaire,' so this may well be a one-off Bolide with more contemporary styling, rather than a special run of several examples. Either way, it'll be exciting and expensive, and the publication claims that, like the Bolide, it will be based on the Chiron. Bolide production wrapped up late last year, seemingly as the end of the W16 era, but this report indicates the 8.0-liter quad-turbo engine isn't going away just yet. If you were hoping that Bugatti would turn the wick up on its V16 hybrid Tourbillon, fret not, for that will happen soon enough; Super Sport variants of both the Veyron and Chiron were produced, and it's inevitable that Bugatti will produce something similar on Tourbillon bones. So when does the new Bug debut?

Bugatti's Next One-Off Is Just Months Away

According to the report, the new Bugatti one-of will be revealed either at the end of Q2 (so sometime next month) or in early Q3 (potentially July). While that's not a specific date, we have no reason to doubt the validity of the report as the same publication correctly predicted that the F.K.P. Hommage would debut in January. Whoever the commissioning buyer is, they're exceptionally fortunate, as Programme Solitaire will produce no more than two coachbuilt creations each year. The F.K.P. Hommage may have debuted in January, but it was completed in late 2025, so this new Bolide/Tourbillon mashup is technically the first of two potential Bugatti one-offs we may see this year. Of course, until Bugatti itself starts providing teasers or solid information, the report should be treated as speculative, but given the appetite of the ultra-wealthy for extremely limited luxury products, it won't be long before Bugatti shows off what it has up its sleeve in 2026.
