Backed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, the startup shook the automotive industry by launching its minimalist electric pickup with a starting price of just $24,950. Since the startup plans to manufacture its vehicles in Indiana, exporting them to Canada would trigger retaliatory 25 percent tariffs on American-built vehicles.
