Chevy Froze Blazer EV Prices For 2027, But It Still Isn’t Cheap

(0 reviews)

Priced the Same

Every year, we see automakers hike up their prices, but Chevy's holding firm for the 2027 Blazer EV. The American automaker has announced its pricing for the compact electric SUV, and the base model still starts at $44,700.

The other trim levels will start at the same price as well, and while the Blazer EV won't change much from the outgoing 2026 model year, there are a few quiet upgrades, with a few catches.

Across the Board

Chevy Blazer EV pricing for the 2027 model year is as follows, as obtained by CarsDirect:

  • 2027 Chevrolet Blazer EV LT FWD - $44,700
  • 2027 Chevrolet Blazer EV RS FWD - $50,500
  • 2027 Chevrolet Blazer EV SS AWD - $60,700

The Blazer EV retains its prices amid rising material costs and an energy crisis that has got the whole world scratching its head. The other trims of the Chevrolet Blazer EV include the LT FWD, RS FWD, and SS AWD, with the SS being the most equipped and most capable thanks to its dual-motor setup and larger battery over the base trims.

The LT FWD and RS FWD variants both make 220 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque, while the SS AWD variant makes 615 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Battery sizes range from 85 kWh for the lower trims, with up to 283 miles of range, to 102 kWh for the SS AWD trims, which net about 312 miles of range.

Low-Key Improvements

While the exterior, interior, and the rest of the car don't feature any newsworthy changes, Chevy did mention that it's including a standard NACS port in the Blazer EV. On top of that, there is a new eight-speaker Bose premium audio system that's available in the Super Cruise package.

Earlier, I said there was a catch, and that's regarding the Super Cruise package. While the base price of the compact SUV hasn't gone up, the Super Cruise upgrade has, going from $3,255 in 2026 to $3,795 for 2027. The contents of the Super Cruise package include a hands-free driver-assist system and the new eight-speaker Bose system. Doing the math, that's a $540 sound upgrade on top of an adaptive cruise control package.

At least the upcharge won't affect the base price of the Blazer EV; however, the Electric SUV remains a pricey option in the market, being undercut by the Tesla Model Y, Honda Prologue, and Subaru Trailseeker, which all go for under $40,000 starting MSRP.
