Dodge Is Paying Charger Buyers $10 For Every Horsepower

(0 reviews)

A Familiar Promotion Makes a Comeback

Seven years ago, Dodge launched a promo that was pretty popular among Dodge muscle car fans. Forget boring cash discounts – Dodge’s Power Dollars handed buyers $10 for every single horsepower under the hood. It was a cheeky way to give gearheads one more excuse to buy the more powerful Dodge models.

Now, Power Dollars is back for another round. From July 9 to August 3, Dodge is rolling out Power Dollars for anyone picking up a 2026 Charger with the new gasoline SIXPACK engines. The rules are simple: more horsepower equals more cash in your pocket.

This comeback also shows Dodge is doubling down on its Hurricane-powered muscle machines. Sure, you can get a Charger with electrons or gasoline these days, but this deal is strictly for those chasing the twin-turbo inline-six thrill.

More Power Means a Bigger Discount

The Power Dollars revival covers four gasoline-powered Charger flavors: R/T, R/T Plus, Scat Pack, and Scat Pack Plus. If you go for the 420-horsepower Charger R/T or R/T Plus, you pocket $4,200. Step up to the 550-horsepower Scat Pack or Scat Pack Plus, and Dodge knocks $5,500 off the sticker.

That said, the mentioned discounts bring the Scat Pack's starting price below $49,500 before fees. That means you get 550 horsepower for less than $55,000, making it the most powerful new car you can buy at that price point right now.

But it's not just about the numbers. The 2026 Charger still lets you pick between a two-door coupe and a four-door sedan, and every version comes with all-wheel drive. Want to kick the tail out? There's a rear-wheel-drive mode for that classic muscle car feel.

A Few Important Conditions Apply

As tempting as this deal is, there are a few catches to watch out for. First, Dodge’s Power Dollars are for retail purchases only. If you're planning to lease your new Charger, you won't see any cash for horsepower, though you can expect other lease incentives depending on your dealer.

Second, this promo is only for the gasoline SIXPACK Chargers. The all-electric Charger Daytona Scat Pack and the supercharged Durango SRT Hellcat? Sorry, they're sitting this one out – even heaven knows the former badly needs those discounts. Even the Durango, despite its muscle cred, doesn't make the cut.

If you've been eyeing a new SIXPACK-powered Charger, now's your chance. The car stays the same, but this deal makes it just a bit easier to park some fresh turbocharged muscle in your driveway before August rolls around.
