Techart Turns the New Porsche 911 Turbo S Into an 811-HP Weapon

Techart for the 992.2

Since 1987, Techart has been delivering performance and look packages for Porsche vehicles. It's among my most noted Porsche tuners and a mainstay among the enthusiast community.

Starting with high-end interior customization, the brand has since grown to offer a dizzying array of options for any Porsche enthusiast to spend their hard-earned money on. Recently, the brand unveiled its latest packaging for the 992.2-generation Porsche 911, and it looks awesome.

Prepare your wallets for this one, because the attention to detail, material quality, and the kit's comprehensiveness are topics of discussion between you and Techart themselves.

Turbo Taken Further

Techart says that this new package is "the most comprehensive customization program to date for the new Porsche 911 Turbo S (992.2)." The packages are available for the Coupe and Cabrio versions of the current-generation 911 Turbo S models.

While the exterior bits can differ between the Coupe and Cabrio packages, the performance enhancements are consistent across both. Techart's Techtronic Powerkit adds an additional 100 horsepower and about 103 lb-ft of torque, allowing the turbocharged flat six to achieve 811 horsepower and 693 lb-ft of torque.

The 0-60 times improve by about a tenth of a second, from 2.5 to about 2.4 seconds, but perhaps equally impressive are the sound clips that Techart provides on its website. The package also includes a two-valve exhaust system for the Turbo S. It's integrated with the vehicle's drive mode selector and can also be configured through the Techtronic Powerkit. The system is EC-type-approved and delivers a more emotional and powerful experience without going overboard.

Interior, Exterior, and Footwork

True to its roots, the interior of the Techart 992.2 Turbo S package features high-end workmanship, materials, and finishing. Techart's upholstery branch in Leonberg promises a premium experience with high-quality Alcantara, leather, carbon fiber, paint, and metals in order to deliver a premium interior, perhaps even better than the factory. Customers can configure what colors, materials, and components are to be customized.

The exterior enhancements also build on and improve what Porsche already delivers with the 911, while making it a little more impressive on top of that. Customers have a choice between a couple of spoilers that look sick when paired with the right combination of parts.

Meanwhile, the wheels are noteworthy. Techart's Formula IX Race forged aluminum wheels feature a complex, modern cross-spoke design. The specifications are 9.5 x 20 ET40 for the front and 12 x 21 ET61 for the rear. The colors available include black, silver, and gold.

The wheels come paired with a specifically developed suspension upgrade that provides a modest drop while also improving handling. Techart calls it the Sport Spring Kit, which allows owners to dial in their ride height and fitment, and it can also be paired with Techart's in-house nose lift system, which raises the vehicle's front for better access without damaging the underside of the 911.
