This Green Ferrari SF90 XX Looks Almost Too Lamborghini for Maranello

(0 reviews)

A Tailor-Made Ferrari

The Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale made history when it was announced. Up to this point, all the 'XX' cars that Ferrari put out were track-only and not road-legal. Now that the latest XX is road-legal, perhaps that opened the floodgates for this special edition with only 799 units up for production.

Ferrari recently posted a photo set of its latest creation: the Ferrari SF90 X Stradale Tailor Made, a special configuration that sees the first road-legal XX car painted in gloss Verde Volterra, matched with luscious Alcantara and Ultrasuede textiles, all executed with Ferrari's signature Italian craftsmanship. Exposed carbon fiber reminds you that the model is built for performance, yet it blends seamlessly with the vehicle's bodylines, resulting in a luxurious feel married to Ferrari's performance-first mindset.

More Head Turning

The Verde Volterra is a nice change of pace from the Rosso that we're so used to seeing. The wild color changes depending on the light and the viewing angle. It shifts between metallic gold and a rich and deep green. The fact that Ferrari left some of its carbon fiber bits exposed creates a wild aura of authority, only made more special by the orange accents that complement the color palette of this configuration.

On the inside, the light Alcantara and black Ultrasuede are contrasted by Sella and black Serafil stitching, while the Cavalino is embroidered in black Madeira Polyneon thread, resulting in a car that embodies classiness and style with an air of audacity, kind of like how another Italian brand likes to do things.

If You Squint Hard Enough...

Honestly, if you're not paying attention, you might mistake this for a Lamborghini. I know I did while I was scrolling through my feed. Now, before you start thinking ill of me, this is one of the most un-Ferrari-looking paint jobs that we've seen from the Prancing Horse in a while, paired with the wild exposed carbon and the huge wing at the back.

Frankly, the SF90's design is quite fetching and possibly one of the best we've seen from the brand in its current lineup. Of course, the Ferrari Luce did make a splash in all the wrong ways, but I digress. Speaking of which, I wonder how many Luces and/or Amalfis you need to purchase in order to be enrolled in the XX waitlist.

Lamborghini is known for its wild paints, and among its most iconic shades are green and orange, so forgive me, Signore Ferrari, for the mistake. Given the launch color of the SF90 XX Stradale, this Tailor Made configuration is certainly out of left field for me. Well done, Ferrari.
