2027 NORRA Baja Rally Set for Epic 10-Day Adventure Celebrating 60 Years of Off-Road Racing

(0 reviews)

The legendary National Off Road Racing Association is gearing up for one of its most ambitious events ever as the dates are now official for the 2027 NORRA Baja 10 Day Rally. Scheduled for April 27 through May 8, 2027, the event will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of NORRA with an unforgettable journey the full length of the Baja Peninsula — and back again.

For racers, adventurers, and Baja enthusiasts, the 2027 rally promises to capture everything that makes NORRA special: long days in the dirt, incredible scenery, camaraderie, mechanical survival, and the spirit of old-school Baja racing.

The event begins April 27-28 in Ensenada with registration, technical inspection, contingency, and qualifying. From there, competitors will embark on six days of racing southbound through some of Baja’s most iconic terrain on the way to San José del Cabo.

Unlike traditional point-to-point races, the NORRA Baja Rally is as much about the experience as the competition itself. Racers can expect thousands of miles of rugged desert trails, rocky mountain passes, sandy washes, and coastal scenery as they work their way down the peninsula.

Once teams reach Cabo, NORRA has scheduled two days to relax, repair race vehicles, regroup with teammates, and celebrate the halfway point of the adventure. The downtime in Cabo has become one of the highlights of the event, giving participants a chance to enjoy Baja culture while preparing for the demanding return trip north.

After the break, competitors will tackle four additional days of racing back toward Ensenada before the event wraps up with a final awards celebration on May 8 at the iconic Estero Beach Hotel & Resort.

The 2027 edition stands out not only because of its anniversary significance, but also because it embodies the original spirit of Baja racing. NORRA continues to attract a unique mix of vintage race vehicles, modern UTVs, trucks, buggies, and motorcycles, all sharing the same adventure across one of the most legendary off-road destinations in the world.

With ten days of action, thousands of miles of racing, and sixty years of history behind it, the 2027 NORRA Baja Rally is shaping up to be one of the premier off-road events of the decade. For anyone who has ever dreamed of racing Baja, now is the time to start planning.
