The Overland Expo Mountain West experience starts before you walk through the show gates. For many attendees, the adventure begins the moment they point their vehicle toward Colorado.

Whether you’re traveling across the Rockies, coming from nearby states, or turning the event into a longer road trip, camping is a big part of what makes Overland Expo special. This year, attendees have even more ways to make the journey memorable, from the new Hipcamp Adventure Route to an enhanced moto camping experience and improvements at The Ranch Events Complex.

Camp On-Site and Stay Connected

Staying on-site is one of the best ways to experience Overland Expo.

After the show floor closes, the campground becomes a gathering place where attendees share stories, compare builds, cook dinner, and connect with fellow travelers. Festival-style camping keeps you close to exhibitors, classes, demonstrations, and evening activities, making the entire weekend feel like one shared adventure. For those looking to elevate the experience, Premium Camping offers prime placement, exclusive perks, and added amenities that make your stay even more comfortable.

Where Moto Riders Call Home for the Weekend

Mountain West is a favorite stop for adventure motorcyclists, with dedicated moto camping offering riders a place to connect, share stories, and settle in alongside fellow ADV enthusiasts.

The motorcycle camping area keeps riders close to Motorcycle Village, classes, and demonstrations while creating a community within the campground. Whether you’re arriving solo or riding with friends, it’s a chance to swap routes, compare setups, and connect with fellow travelers.

Friday evening’s Moto Dinner Party & Raffle, sponsored by Moto Justice, gives riders another opportunity to keep the adventure going after the show floor closes. Add the event ticket during checkout and join fellow riders for dinner, music, giveaways, and a good time.

Huge Upgrades at The Ranch

Overland Expo Mtn West update

Attendees will notice the brand new improvements throughout The Ranch Events Complex this year.

Upgrades are focused on creating a smoother, more elevated experience across exhibits, education, camping, and gathering spaces while preserving the community atmosphere that makes Mountain West a favorite Overland Expo destination.

Attendees can look forward to improved flow throughout the event, expanded spaces to relax and connect, and enhanced areas for exhibits, demonstrations, training, and evening gatherings. The updated layout creates a more comfortable and intuitive experience from arrival to departure.

Camping Elevates the Overland Expo Experience

Camping at Overland Expo Mountain West is about more than where you park at night. It’s about becoming part of the event.

Some of the best moments happen around campfires, over morning coffee, and during conversations with people who share the same passion for adventure.

With camping accommodations for every preference, a dedicated moto community, and the chance to swap stories under the stars, Mountain West is best enjoyed when you trade the hotel for the campgrounds.

Make the Journey to Mountain West An Adventure

The road to Overland Expo is part of the experience. The new Hipcamp × Overland Expo Adventure Route makes it easier to discover campsites, scenic drives, and destinations before and after the show.

For Mountain West attendees, the route offers opportunities to explore Colorado beyond Loveland, whether you’re planning a multi-day adventure or simply looking for a unique place to spend the night along the way.
