Blink-182 Unleash ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’ 25th Anniversary Edition Ft. Six Legendary Bonus Tracks

If you ever spent your teenage years arguing over which version of Take Off Your Pants And Jacket you owned, congratulations: Blink-182 have finally ended the discourse.

The pop-punk icons have dropped a 25th anniversary reissue of their 2001 classic, and for the first time ever, all six of the album’s gloriously unhinged bonus tracks have been collected together in one place.

Originally scattered across different physical editions of the record back in 2001 (remember when CDs made you work for your content?), tracks including Time To Break Up, Mother’s Day, What Went Wrong, Don’t Tell Me It’s Over, Fuck A Dog and When You Fucked Grandpa have now officially landed together as part of one complete release.

For longtime Blink fans, this feels less like a deluxe edition and more like opening a time capsule.

Released at peak early-2000s Blink mania, Take Off Your Pants And Jacket became the first punk rock album to debut at Number One in the US and helped cement Blink-182’s place as one of the defining bands of an entire generation. Between The Rock Show, First Date, Stay Together For The Kids and Anthem Part Two, the album captured everything that made the band work: heartbreak, stupidity, juvenile humour and songs that somehow still hit way harder than they had any right to.

But for real heads, the bonus tracks have always had near-mythical status.

Depending on which version of the album you managed to get your hands on back in the day, you only got certain extras… turning schoolyard conversations and Limewire searches into genuine investigative journalism.

Now, all six tracks are finally available together for the first time.

Alongside the digital reissue, Blink have also announced a new 2LP vinyl edition featuring an etched Side D – with either the plane, pants or jacket emblem randomly assigned across pressings in a little nod to the original artwork.
