Evanescence Are Returning To Australia To Deliver 20+ Years Of Hits

Evanescence – ‘Bring Me To Life’

Alt-rock icons Evanescence have officially announced their return to Australia for a huge run of arena headline shows in March 2027, bringing one of the most recognisable catalogues of the 21st century back to local stages alongside material from their brand new album, Sanctuary.

Presented by Triple M, the Australian run will hit Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before heading across the ditch to New Zealand.

More than twenty years after Amy Lee and co changed the trajectory of every dramatic teenager with Fallen, Evanescence somehow remain both a legacy act and a band still actively evolving. Their debut remains one of the defining rock records of the 2000s, spawning monster singles like Bring Me To Life, Going Under and My Immortal – songs that somehow still feel capable of activating sleeper-agent-level emotions in people who haven’t opened iTunes since 2008.

But this isn’t purely a nostalgia lap.

Their latest album Sanctuary launches them into another chapter entirely, featuring recent hits Afterlife and Who Will You Follow and arriving off the back of one of the biggest recent periods of momentum in the band’s career.

Last year saw Evanescence land their first-ever #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with Afterlife – written for Netflix’s Devil May Cry adaptation – while collaborations tied to the John Wick universe and projects alongside K.Flay, Halsey, Poppy and Courtney LaPlante proved the band’s influence stretches well beyond the era that made them famous.
