Dust off the band tees and start emotionally budgeting now – Good Things Festival is officially coming back in 2026.
Just weeks after wrapping up its 2025 run, the festival has quietly but confidently confirmed its return next year via an email sent to attendees, alongside a cheeky nod on Insta. In the message (shared via The Music), organisers thanked punters for showing up once again and promised that the gates will be swinging open for another round of Good Things goodness in 2026.
“We will be back in 2026”
“What an amazing weekend of events that was! We are so happy to have been able to deliver another year of Good Things to the best music community in Australia, hands down,” the email read.
“Thank you for being a part of the extended GT family, and for supporting live music… We will be back in 2026 and look forward to welcoming you again next year!”
If that wasn’t clear enough, the festival doubled down with a post after the Brisbane leg wrapped up, writing: “See you in 2026, right? We’re counting the days already.”
The 2025 edition of Good Things went down across Melbourne (Dec 5), Sydney (Dec 6) – in peak “why is it THIS hot?” conditions – before closing out in Brisbane on Dec 7. TOOL topped the bill, backed by a stacked lineup featuring Weezer, Garbage, Machine Head, Dayseeker and more, once again cementing Good Things as one of the country’s biggest end-of-year heavy music rituals.
As for dates, don’t expect anything locked in just yet. Historically, Good Things likes to keep its cards close to its chest, but if past years are anything to go by, December 2026 is a very safe bet.
For now, punters can officially start the countdown – and the group chat speculation – knowing that Good Things will, indeed, be back.
