This one was really fun. Our friends Marcel and Jason, the guys behind Auto Revolution and their Car Guy Confessions, Influence and Impact, and several other podcasts, invited me and our friend Jefferson Bryant onto Car Guy Confessions with Jeff Smith during the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona a few months ago and we had a great time. As is typical with me and Jefferson, we had no problem keeping up with, and sometimes talking over Jeff Smith, but man did we have fun. I want to thank Jeff

Mario Andretti was a household name when I was growing up watching him race at the Indy 500 and such. His career is insane, with more wins and championships than you can shake a stick at. But what really set Mario Andretti apart was just how much racing he did, in a variety of cars and racing types. He’s won at Indy, in F 1, at Daytona, and more. In Formula One cars, Indy cars, sports cars, stock cars, and more. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t drive if given the chance, and back then this was

Randy Pobst can wheel a race car, and on too many occasions to count we’ve seen him do it. But he also enjoys a quick and fast street car which means that upgrades are often in order. In the video series starting below, we’ll see his 1977 Pontiac Trans Am get some suspension love. But don’t think that this is some old original worn out machine that is getting the upgrades so they can show a huge improvement. No, this car has had a bunch of work done to it to get it into ship shape, and now it’s

Classic car auctions, hell any car auction, is a good time. Auctions in general are a fun way to maybe get a deal and to have a better time doing it than just walking up and making a purchase. They have a mood, an energy, and there are lots of companies out there having auctions all over the world. Big ones like Mecum and Barrett-Jackson have created an entirely new entertainment industry inside the purchasing of cars and we love them for it. There are a lot of great cars, trucks, and more going

We tested alternators, engine driven fans, and other accessories on the dyno years ago and I can tell you that most of the accessories on the front of your engine take very little power to turn under most circumstances. If you ha
