Method Race Wheels Introduces New 305-HD Trailer Wheel
Heavy-Duty Strength, Premium Styling, and Industry-Leading Load Ratings for Serious Towing Applications Method Race Wheels has expanded its lineup beyond trucks, SUVs, and UTVs with the introduction of the new 305-HD Trailer Wheel, a purpose-built trailer wheel designed to deliver exceptional strength, durability, and style for hauling everything from UTVs and race vehicles to boats, toy haulers, and travel trailers. Built to meet the demands of today’s heavier trailers and payloads, the new 305-HD Trailer wheel combines Method’s race-inspired design language with impressive load-carrying capability, giving owners a trailer wheel that looks as good as it performs. Designed for Heavy-Duty Towing At first glance, the 305-HD Trailer wheel is instantly recognizable thanks to Method’s signature 12-window design, which mirrors the styling of the company’s popular 305 truck wheel. This allows truck and trailer owners to create a cohesive look across their entire towing setup while benefiting from a wheel specifically engineered for trailer use. The 305-HD is constructed from solid A356 aluminum and undergoes T6 heat treatment to maximize strength and durability. The result is a wheel capable of handling demanding towing applications while maintaining the corrosion resistance and weight advantages of an aluminum design. Available now in 16-inch 6-lug and 8-lug fitments, the 305-HD accommodates a wide range of trailers. Method also plans to release a 15-inch version in the near future, further expanding compatibility across utility, recreational, and commercial trailer segments. Method Race Wheels 305-HD Trailer Wheel Best-in-Class Load Ratings One of the standout features of the new wheel is its impressive load capacity. Depending on the application, the 305-HD Trailer wheel carries load ratings ranging from 3,640 to 4,500 pounds, making it one of the strongest aluminum trailer wheels available. That added capacity can provide valuable peace of mind for owners towing heavy UTVs, enclosed race trailers, overland rigs, boats, campers, and work equipment. As trailers continue to grow larger and carry more gear, wheel strength becomes an increasingly important part of the overall towing equation. Premium Features and Customization In addition to its strength, the 305-HD Trailer wheel incorporates several features that have helped make Method a favorite among off-road enthusiasts. The wheel is finished in matte black and includes replaceable lip bolts, allowing owners to customize the appearance with optional color accents. A push-through center cap design offers flexibility, while optional flush cap configurations provide a clean, finished look. The design also complements Method-equipped tow vehicles, creating a coordinated appearance that many enthusiasts and trailer owners appreciate. Backed by Industry-Leading Warranty Coverage Method backs the 305-HD Trailer wheel with what it describes as the industry’s best warranty package. Coverage includes a lifetime structural warranty along with a five-year finish warranty, reflecting the company’s confidence in the wheel’s construction and long-term durability. For owners who spend countless miles towing to trails, dunes, race events, campgrounds, and adventure destinations, that additional warranty protection adds another level of confidence. Final Thoughts The new Method 305-HD Trailer wheel brings the same aggressive styling and performance-focused engineering that have made Method wheels popular throughout the off-road industry to an often-overlooked part of the towing setup. With heavy-duty aluminum construction, impressive load ratings, premium styling details, and strong warranty support, the 305-HD offers a compelling upgrade for trailer owners looking to improve both appearance and capability. Whether you’re hauling a fleet of UTVs to the dunes, towing a race trailer across the desert, or pulling a camper into the backcountry, the Method 305-HD Trailer wheel is designed to deliver the strength and reliability needed for the journey ahead. About Method Race Wheels Method Race Wheels is a leading manufacturer of high-performance wheels for trucks, SUVs, UTVs, vans, and trailers. Built on a foundation of race-proven engineering and industry-leading durability, Method develops products that deliver exceptional performance both on and off the road. Utah’s Proposed High Desert Trail Could Become One of the Largest OHV Routes in the West
Utah has long been home to some of the most iconic off-road destinations in North America, from the Paiute Trail to the red rock backcountry surrounding Moab. Now, state and federal agencies are working together on a project that could create one of the longest and most diverse motorized recreation routes in the western United States: the proposed High Desert Trail. The High Desert Trail (HDT) is envisioned as a border-to-border motorized route stretching across western Utah. The proposed trail would utilize existing roads and trails to connect more than 600 miles of riding opportunities across seven counties, including Box Elder, Tooele, Juab, Millard, Beaver, Iron, and Washington counties. Current planning documents indicate the overall system could encompass approximately 810 miles of designated OHV routes when connectors and supporting infrastructure are included. A Vision More Than Two Decades in the Making The idea behind the High Desert Trail is not new. According to project information released by Utah agencies, the concept dates back more than 20 years and has been discussed in various forms since the early 2000s. Momentum has increased in recent years as counties across western Utah partnered with the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), local governments, and recreation groups to move the project toward formal designation. One of the most significant aspects of the proposal is that no new trails are expected to be constructed. Instead, the project would formally designate and connect existing public roads and motorized routes into a unified long-distance trail system. The goal is to improve navigation, management, maintenance, and visitor services while reducing the need for users to rely on unofficial routes. Utah’s Proposed High Desert Trail Connecting Utah’s Diverse Landscapes If approved, the High Desert Trail would offer riders an incredible variety of terrain. The route would traverse western Utah’s high deserts, mountain ranges, red rock canyons, sagebrush valleys, and alpine forests, creating a multi-day adventure unlike anything currently available in the state. Project planners describe the HDT as an outdoor recreation corridor designed to connect scenic landscapes and rural communities while providing opportunities for OHV riders, adventure motorcyclists, overlanders, equestrians, hikers, and mountain bikers in appropriate segments. For UTV enthusiasts, the route could eventually become a bucket-list destination similar in scope and appeal to Utah’s famous Paiute Trail system, which currently offers thousands of miles of interconnected riding opportunities across central Utah. Benefits for Rural Communities A major driver behind the project is economic development. By creating a clearly identified long-distance route, supporters believe the High Desert Trail could bring increased tourism spending to many smaller communities that currently see less recreation traffic than destinations such as Moab and Sand Hollow. The proposal includes plans for improved trailheads, staging areas, signage, kiosks, and wayfinding systems that would help visitors navigate the route and encourage stops in nearby towns for fuel, lodging, dining, and supplies. Because much of the route crosses western Utah’s lower-elevation desert regions, many sections could be accessible during spring, fall, and even winter months, helping spread recreation use throughout the year rather than concentrating it into peak summer seasons. Environmental Review Underway The project is currently undergoing federal environmental review through the Bureau of Land Management. The BLM and Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation have released a Draft Environmental Assessment and opened a public comment period as part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. Project leaders state that the formal designation process is intended to improve recreation management while helping protect sensitive natural and cultural resources. By focusing use on existing routes and providing better information to visitors, planners hope to balance recreation access with responsible land stewardship. Public Comment Period Underway As the High Desert Trail proposal moves through the environmental review process, recreation advocates are encouraging the off-road community to participate in the public comment period. The BlueRibbon Coalition has voiced strong support for the project, noting that the proposed route would formally designate approximately 810 miles of existing public roads and trails while creating one of the most significant long-distance motorized recreation opportunities in the West. According to BlueRibbon Coalition, the preferred Alternative B would help preserve and enhance motorized recreation access across western Utah while improving route connectivity for OHV users, overlanders, and adventure motorcyclists. The organization also points to the potential economic benefits for rural communities that would see increased visitation from recreation travelers exploring the trail system. BlueRibbon Coalition is encouraging OHV enthusiasts, local businesses, and public land users to submit comments supporting the project during the BLM review process. Supporters believe the High Desert Trail represents a unique opportunity to secure long-term access to existing routes while creating a premier destination that showcases the diverse landscapes and outdoor recreation opportunities found throughout western Utah. Take Action: Utah High Desert Trail Project: 810 Miles for OHV Access What It Means for the OHV Community For Utah’s off-road community, the High Desert Trail represents an opportunity to create another world-class riding destination built around existing access rather than new trail construction. The project could simplify route planning, improve signage and safety, and provide a framework for future investments in maintenance and visitor infrastructure. Long-distance trail systems have proven successful in Utah, with routes such as the Paiute Trail generating significant tourism and economic benefits for local communities while providing riders with an organized and well-managed experience. Supporters of the High Desert Trail believe the project could deliver similar benefits across western Utah while showcasing some of the state’s most remote and spectacular landscapes. Final Thoughts The proposed High Desert Trail has the potential to become one of the most ambitious motorized recreation projects ever developed in Utah. By connecting hundreds of miles of existing roads and trails into a single, well-managed corridor, the project could create a true border-to-border OHV adventure while supporting rural economies and improving the overall recreation experience. For the OHV community, the project represents more than just another trail system. It is an opportunity to secure and enhance access to public lands while creating a destination that could rival some of the most celebrated motorized trail networks in the country. With public comments now being accepted, riders, enthusiasts, and local businesses have a chance to help shape the future of what could become Utah’s next great off-road adventure. Whether you’re interested in multi-day UTV expeditions, adventure motorcycle travel, overlanding, or simply exploring some of Utah’s most remote landscapes, the High Desert Trail has the potential to become a landmark recreation destination for generations to come. Looking south towards Coos Bay A Bucket-List Dune Destination One of the reasons UTV Takeover has become so popular is the unique terrain found at Coos Bay. Unlike the wide-open desert dunes of Glamis or the expansive bowls of Idaho’s St. Anthony Sand Dunes, the Oregon Dunes combine massive sand hills with pine forests, freshwater lakes, wetlands, and miles of Pacific coastline. The result is a riding experience that feels more like a combination of a beach, forest, and desert all rolled into one destination. The Coos Bay riding area is the largest of the three major riding sections that make up the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Riders can explore the southern Horsfall Dunes near Boxcar Hill and Horsfall Campground, then travel north through connecting sand roads into the Spinreel Dunes area. Along the way you’ll encounter everything from towering open dune faces and sweeping bowls to tree islands, narrow sand trails, and beach-access routes that lead directly to the Pacific Ocean. One of the most popular aspects of riding at Coos Bay is the ability to transition between terrain types in a matter of minutes. Riders can carve through open dunes, cruise along seven miles of beach, explore forest-lined trails, and stop at scenic overlooks such as Swing Hill and Spinreel Hill. The area is large enough that even during major events like UTV Takeover, riders can often find quieter sections of dunes away from the crowds. The Oregon Dunes themselves are among the most impressive in North America. Stretching approximately 40 miles along the Oregon coast, they represent the largest expanse of coastal sand dunes on the continent, with some dunes rising as much as 500 feet above sea level. The combination of ocean views, cool coastal temperatures, and constantly shifting sand creates a riding environment unlike any other off-road destination in the country A Virtual Tour of Oregon’s Coos Bay Sand Dunes How to Attend UTV Takeover Coos Bay Getting into UTV Takeover is easy. From Sweepstakes Winner to Baja Rally Contender: High Sierra Motorsports Prepares for NORRA 2027
For most off-road enthusiasts, winning a brand-new Polaris RZR Pro R would be the realization of a lifelong dream. For High Sierra Motorsports team owner Steve Watson, it became the starting point for an even bigger adventure. The Northern California-based privateer race team is preparing to tackle the 2027 NORRA Baja Rally , one of the most demanding and iconic off-road rallies in North America. Their race vehicle is a Polaris RZR Pro R that Watson won through the American Sand Association giveaway at the 2025 Sand Sports Super Show. Steve with the ASA Raffle Polaris RZR Pro R What started as a sweepstakes prize is now being transformed into a purpose-built rally machine capable of surviving thousands of miles of Baja racing as High Sierra Motorsports prepares for one of the most ambitious privateer efforts in UTV competition. A Lifelong Passion for Off-Roading and Adventure For Watson, the road to the NORRA Mexican 1000 began decades ago in the deserts of Southern California. Born and raised in San Diego, Watson developed a passion for off-roading as a teenager, spending weekends riding at Gordon’s Well and accompanying his uncle to desert races throughout Southern California and Baja. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong love of desert exploration, motorsports, and adventure. Steve in Cabo San Lucas after riding for days down the Baja Pennisula That adventurous spirit eventually led Watson far beyond weekend rides. Last year, he and a friend embarked on an unforgettable motorcycle journey from San Diego all the way to Cabo San Lucas and back. The trip exposed him to the vast landscapes, remote villages, rugged terrain, and unique culture that have made Baja a legendary destination for generations of off-road enthusiasts. The experience gave Watson a firsthand appreciation for the scale of the Baja Peninsula and the challenges that come with traveling through some of North America’s most remote regions—knowledge that will undoubtedly prove valuable during the upcoming NORRA campaign. Steve racing at DuneFest in his Polaris RZR back in 2010 In 2008, Watson purchased his first Polaris RZR and quickly became a dedicated UTV enthusiast. Since then, he has owned four different RZR models while exploring trails, dunes, and backcountry destinations throughout the western United States. Today, Steve and his wife remain passionate participants in the off-road community, enjoying everything from dune trips and trail rides to camping adventures and off-road events. That shared love of the outdoors and the off-road lifestyle ultimately helped inspire the team’s decision to take on the challenge of Baja. A Dream Come True The foundation for the High Sierra Motorsports race effort came from an unexpected source. During the 2026 Sand Sports Super Show, Watson was selected as the winner of the American Sand Association’s Polaris RZR Pro R giveaway. The sweepstakes helps support the American Sand Association’s ongoing efforts to protect access to public lands and preserve opportunities for future generations of off-road enthusiasts. For Watson, winning the vehicle was something he never expected. “Winning this RZR is a dream come true,” said Watson. “Huge thanks to the American Sand Association and everyone who donated to make it happen. I truly appreciate what ASA does to keep our dunes open for generations to enjoy!” Rather than simply enjoying the vehicle recreationally, Watson saw an opportunity to pursue an ambitious goal. The giveaway RZR Pro R would become the foundation for High Sierra Motorsports’ entry into the 2027 NORRA Mexican 1000. Steve with his Pro R at Sand Hollow Taking on the Ultimate Baja Challenge The NORRA Mexican 1000 is unlike any other off-road race. While many desert races are completed in a single day, NORRA stretches across approximately ten days of competition and adventure. Competitors travel down the Baja Peninsula before making the journey back north, covering hundreds of miles each day through a combination of competitive special stages and transit sections. The event traces its heritage to the original Mexican 1000 races that helped establish Baja as the epicenter of desert racing. Today, NORRA blends racing, exploration, camaraderie, and endurance into a unique experience that attracts competitors from around the world. For teams like High Sierra Motorsports, the challenge extends far beyond driving fast. Successfully completing NORRA requires months of planning, vehicle development, support logistics, chase crews, spare parts management, navigation systems, communications equipment, and the ability to keep a race vehicle performing day after day through some of the harshest terrain imaginable. The sheer scale of a ten-day Baja campaign makes it one of the biggest undertakings a privateer team can attempt. Steve with his Pro R at Sand Hollow Building a Baja-Ready Polaris RZR Pro R To prepare for the challenge, High Sierra Motorsports has partnered with Alpine Designs of Placerville, California, to transform the Polaris RZR Pro R into a race-ready rally machine. The build will focus on reliability, safety, suspension performance, navigation equipment, race communications, and the durability required to withstand thousands of miles of Baja punishment. The Polaris RZR Pro R provides an excellent starting point. Its naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, strong chassis, and proven desert racing pedigree have made it one of the most successful UTV platforms in off-road competition. However, preparing a vehicle for NORRA requires a completely different level of attention to detail than a typical recreational build. Every component must be evaluated with one goal in mind: surviving ten days of racing down the Baja Peninsula and back. Growing Industry Support As preparations continue, High Sierra Motorsports has already attracted support from respected companies within the off-road industry. The team has signed partnerships with MRT Tires and Method Race Wheels, providing a proven wheel and tire package for the demanding conditions they will encounter in Baja. Wheel and tire selection can make or break a Baja campaign. Competitors must deal with everything from deep sand and high-speed desert roads to sharp volcanic rock and technical mountain terrain. Reliability, durability, puncture resistance, and predictable handling all become critical factors when the goal is to complete thousands of miles of racing. MRT Desert Storm Tire: Built to Conquer the Toughest Terrain The partnerships with MRT Tires and Method Race Wheels represent important building blocks as the team develops its race program and prepares for the 2027 event. Additional sponsors and technical partners are expected to join the effort as the build progresses. The Spirit of NORRA What makes the High Sierra Motorsports story particularly compelling is that it represents the grassroots spirit that has always defined Baja racing. While factory-supported race teams often dominate headlines, NORRA continues to celebrate privateer competitors who are willing to invest the time, effort, and resources required to chase a dream. For Watson, the journey from riding motorcycles across Baja, to winning an American Sand Association sweepstakes RZR, to preparing for one of the world’s most iconic off-road rallies represents the culmination of a lifelong passion for adventure. The road to the start line will require countless hours in the shop, extensive testing, and a tremendous commitment from everyone involved. But that challenge is precisely what makes Baja so special. Follow the Build High Sierra Motorsports plans to document the entire journey from sweepstakes-winning Polaris RZR Pro R to NORRA race machine, giving off-road enthusiasts a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to prepare for one of Baja’s most demanding events. Fans can follow the build progress, testing, sponsor announcements, fabrication work, and race preparation on the team’s Facebook page, where regular updates are being posted as the project moves toward the 2027 NORRA Mexican 1000. The team is based in Diamond Springs, California and is currently preparing the RZR Pro R for the legendary 60th Anniversary NORRA 2000 rally. Follow High Sierra Motorsports: Facebook: High Sierra Motorsports Facebook Page The team will also be sharing updates from Alpine Designs as the race build takes shape, along with support from MRT Tires, Method Race Wheels, and other partners joining the effort along the way. Companies interested in supporting the team’s 2027 NORRA campaign, as well as off-road enthusiasts who would like to learn more about the build, can contact Steve Watson directly at [email protected]. As the build progresses, followers will be able to watch the transformation of the ASA giveaway RZR Pro R into a purpose-built Baja rally vehicle and experience the challenges, successes, and inevitable obstacles that come with preparing a privateer team for a ten-day adventure down the Baja Peninsula and back. Looking Ahead With more than a year of preparation ahead, High Sierra Motorsports is only beginning its journey toward the 2027 NORRA Mexican 1000. The sweepstakes-winning Polaris RZR Pro R is evolving into a purpose-built rally machine, Alpine Designs is leading the transformation, and support from MRT Tires and Method Race Wheels is helping lay the foundation for a serious Baja effort. As the build progresses and race day draws closer, High Sierra Motorsports will provide an inside look at what it takes for a privateer team to prepare for a ten-day journey down the Baja Peninsula and back. For off-road enthusiasts, it’s the kind of story that captures everything that makes Baja racing special: adventure, perseverance, camaraderie, and the pursuit of a dream. 2027 NORRA Baja Rally Set for Epic 10-Day Adventure Celebrating 60 Years of Off-Road Racing The post From Sweepstakes Winner to Baja Rally Contender: High Sierra Motorsports Prepares for NORRA 2027 appeared first on UTV Guide. MRT Desert Storm Tire: Built to Conquer the Toughest Terrain
When it comes to pushing a UTV through harsh desert terrain, rocky trails, and high-speed off-road adventures, tire durability can make the difference between finishing the ride and dealing with a costly trail repair. MRT Tires developed the Desert Storm tire with one goal in mind: create a tire capable of handling the abuse of modern high-performance UTVs while delivering the traction and durability serious riders demand. Designed for everything from desert racing to recreational trail riding, the MRT Desert Storm combines advanced construction, aggressive tread design, and reinforced sidewall technology to create a tire that is ready for some of the toughest conditions off-road. The tire is available in 32×9.5R15, 33×9.5R15, and 35x10R15 sizes, making it a solid option for a wide range of popular UTV platforms. MRT Desert Storm Tire Kevlar-Reinforced Durability One of the standout features of the Desert Storm is its reinforced construction. MRT utilizes a six-layer Kevlar-belted sidewall design intended to resist punctures, cuts, and sidewall damage that commonly occur in rocky terrain and desert environments. Combined with an 8-ply carcass, the tire is engineered to withstand impacts and abuse that can quickly destroy lesser tires. The Desert Storm is also backed by MRT’s one-year sidewall warranty, providing additional confidence for riders who spend their weekends exploring remote terrain where reliability is critical. Aggressive Traction for Any Terrain MRT designed the Desert Storm with an aggressive tread pattern intended to maximize traction across a wide variety of surfaces. Large tread blocks and a square-profile design help the tire bite into loose dirt, sand, rocky climbs, and technical terrain while maintaining predictable handling characteristics. According to MRT, the tread design is optimized to deliver strong grip while maintaining stability at speed. Whether navigating rocky ledges, loose desert washes, or rugged backcountry trails, the tread pattern is designed to provide consistent traction while helping drivers maintain control in changing conditions. The self-cleaning characteristics of the tread also help clear debris and maintain grip when terrain conditions become more challenging. Race-Proven Construction Modern UTVs continue to push the limits of horsepower, suspension travel, and overall performance. MRT developed the Desert Storm to handle the increased demands of today’s machines, including high-horsepower sport UTVs and heavily modified trail vehicles. The tire’s reinforced construction and puncture-resistant technology are aimed at reducing downtime and keeping drivers focused on the trail ahead. With tread depths measuring 25/32-inch and load capacities ranging from approximately 1,390 to 1,710 pounds depending on size, the Desert Storm is built to support both recreational and competition-oriented applications. The tire is also DOT compliant, allowing riders to legally connect trails where local regulations permit. Designed for Desert, Trail, and Rock While its name suggests a desert-focused application, the Desert Storm is intended to be a versatile all-terrain performer. MRT markets the tire for use in sand dunes, rocky trails, desert terrain, and technical crawling environments. The combination of durable sidewalls, aggressive tread blocks, and moderate-weight construction makes it appealing to riders looking for a single tire that can handle a variety of riding conditions throughout the year. For enthusiasts who regularly encounter sharp rocks, cactus-lined desert trails, and long-distance adventure routes, the reinforced construction provides an added layer of confidence when exploring far from camp. Final Thoughts The MRT Desert Storm was developed for UTV owners who demand durability without sacrificing traction. Its Kevlar-reinforced sidewalls, aggressive tread design, DOT compliance, and race-inspired construction make it a compelling option for riders looking to tackle everything from desert racing and high-speed trail riding to technical rock sections and backcountry exploration. As UTVs continue to become more capable and powerful, tires must evolve to keep pace. The MRT Desert Storm appears ready for the challenge, delivering the durability and performance needed for today’s demanding off-road environments. Oceano Dunes SVRA: An Economic Engine for California’s Central Coast
While Pismo Beach’s recent recognition as America’s Best Small Coastal Town highlights the region’s scenic beauty, vibrant culture, and coastal charm, the area’s economic success cannot be fully understood without recognizing the vital role played by Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA). For generations, Oceano Dunes has been one of California’s most unique and heavily visited outdoor recreation destinations. As the only location in the state where visitors can legally drive vehicles directly onto the beach and access expansive coastal sand dunes, the park attracts enthusiasts from throughout California and across the western United States. Oceano Dunes SVRA Unlike many day-use recreation areas, Oceano Dunes visitors often stay for several days at a time. Families arrive with motorhomes, toy haulers, trailers, off-highway vehicles, camping equipment, and recreational gear, creating significant economic activity that extends far beyond the park itself. The benefits ripple throughout the local economy. Visitors support hotels, campgrounds, vacation rentals, restaurants, grocery stores, fuel stations, repair facilities, vehicle dealerships, parts suppliers, and countless small businesses in Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Oceano, Arroyo Grande, and throughout San Luis Obispo County. Many local businesses have built their customer base around the steady flow of recreationists who visit the dunes year-round. Oceano Dunes SVRA Economic studies conducted over the years have consistently shown that Oceano Dunes generates tens of millions of dollars annually in visitor spending while supporting hundreds of local jobs. Unlike many tourism destinations that experience dramatic seasonal swings, Oceano Dunes attracts visitors during weekends, holidays, weekdays, and throughout the off-season, helping create a more stable economic environment for local businesses. The impact is especially evident in Grover Beach, one of the primary gateways to the dunes. Visitors frequently stop for fuel, food, vehicle repairs, camping supplies, and lodging before and after their trips. Businesses along West Grand Avenue and throughout the city benefit directly from the steady stream of recreation-based tourism generated by the park. Oceano Dunes SVRA Pismo Beach also enjoys substantial economic benefits. Many visitors who come for the dunes extend their stay to experience the area’s restaurants, wineries, shops, beaches, and attractions. Families who discover the Central Coast through Oceano Dunes often return for future vacations, creating long-term economic value and introducing new visitors to the region. The importance of Oceano Dunes became particularly apparent during periods of restricted access and closure discussions. Local business owners, chambers of commerce, tourism organizations, and elected officials repeatedly voiced concerns about the potential loss of visitors and economic activity. Reduced access translated directly into fewer hotel bookings, lower restaurant revenue, decreased fuel sales, and reduced spending throughout the local economy. Images of vehicles traversing the dunes, families camping on the beach, and riders exploring the sand have become synonymous with the region. The park is frequently featured in travel guides, tourism campaigns, social media content, and outdoor recreation publications, helping distinguish the area from countless other coastal destinations. For many visitors, Oceano Dunes is not simply another stop along the California coast—it is the primary reason they travel to the region. That distinction is important. Visitors who come for the dunes also dine in local restaurants, shop in local stores, purchase fuel, book accommodations, and support businesses throughout the county. The resulting economic multiplier effect helps generate tax revenue, sustain jobs, and strengthen local communities. As conversations continue regarding the future management of Oceano Dunes, it is important to recognize that the park represents far more than a recreational area. It serves as a cornerstone of the local economy, a major tourism driver, and a public resource that has supported families, businesses, and communities for decades. Organizations such as Friends of Oceano Dunes play an important role in ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy responsible access to this unique recreation area. Through advocacy, public outreach, education, and participation in the regulatory process, Friends of Oceano Dunes works to protect public access while promoting responsible stewardship of the dunes and surrounding environment. Their efforts help give a voice to the thousands of families, off-road enthusiasts, local businesses, and community members who depend on Oceano Dunes for recreation and economic opportunity. For those who value continued OHV access to California’s only beach-driving and dune-riding destination, supporting Friends of Oceano Dunes is one of the most effective ways to help preserve this irreplaceable resource for the future. Oceano Dunes SVRA Local businesses within the off-road industry have also stepped forward to support efforts to preserve access to Oceano Dunes. Rugged Radios, headquartered in Arroyo Grande just minutes from the dunes, has been one of the most visible supporters of the off-road community and organizations working to keep Oceano Dunes open for responsible recreation. The company has partnered with Friends of Oceano Dunes through sponsorships, fundraising efforts, event participation, and awareness campaigns designed to educate the public about the economic and recreational importance of the park. From Baja to the Trail: How SDi Active Sway Bar Links Are Helping Define the Next Generation of Performance
SDi Active Sway Bar Technology Proven at the Baja 500 The 57th SCORE Baja 500 once again showcased the capability of the Polaris RZR Pro R Factory platform as Polaris racers swept the UTV Overall podium and captured the top nine finishing positions in one of off-road racing’s most demanding events. Branden Sims delivered a calculated and consistent performance to claim the UTV Overall victory. While driver skill, race strategy, and vehicle preparation all play critical roles in Baja success, suspension performance remains one of the key factors separating contenders from champions. At the 57th SCORE Baja 500, Suspension Direct Inc.’s (SDi) Active Sway Bar Link technology proved its effectiveness across the field, helping eight of the top ten overall UTV finishers conquer the race’s relentless mix of whoops, rocks, high-speed washes, and technical terrain. The system was notably featured on Branden Sims’ race-winning Polaris RZR Pro R Factory, underscoring SDi’s growing presence at the highest levels of desert racing. Branden Sims charging through Baja in his RZR Pro R Factory equipped with SDi Sway Bar Links Conquering Baja’s Brutal Terrain The SCORE Baja 500 is known for pushing both machines and drivers to their limits. Competitors must contend with everything from high-speed desert roads and endless whoops to rocky canyons, technical washes, and unpredictable terrain changes throughout the race. Maintaining vehicle stability while preserving suspension compliance is essential for success. A suspension system that performs well in one section of the course may struggle in another, forcing teams to seek solutions that can deliver confidence across a wide variety of conditions. This is where advanced suspension technologies, including active shocks and sway bar systems, have gained attention among racers looking for every possible advantage. SDi E-LINK on a Polaris RZR Pro R Factory The Role of SDi Active Sway Bar Links Traditional sway bars help reduce body roll and improve cornering stability, but they often require a compromise between handling and suspension articulation. Too much sway bar can limit suspension movement in rough terrain, while too little can reduce stability at speed. SDi’s Active Sway Bar Links are designed to help bridge that gap by allowing the suspension to remain compliant in rough terrain while maintaining the stability drivers need during aggressive cornering in higher-speed desert sections. Unlike traditional sway bars that provide a fixed amount of roll resistance, SDi’s hydraulic locking sway bar links can actively change how the suspension behaves based on terrain and driving conditions. The technology allows greater wheel independence and articulation when traversing rough terrain (unlocked) while increasing roll control and stability during high-speed cornering (locked). By reducing the compromises typically associated with conventional sway bar systems, drivers can maintain confidence across a wider variety of terrain. Over the last several years, Polaris Factory Racing has incorporated SDi Active Sway Bar Links into its RZR Pro R Factory race program. Several leading independent racers have also adopted the technology, including 2026 Baja 500 Overall UTV winner Branden Sims, whose race-winning RZR Pro R Factory was equipped with SDi Active Sway Bar Links. From the Race Course to Production Vehicles One of the most interesting trends in the UTV industry is the growing connection between race-proven technology and production vehicle development. As manufacturers continue pushing the boundaries of performance, many innovations first proven in competition eventually find their way into recreational vehicles. A prime example is the 2026 Polaris RZR Pro R Ultra Edition, which features an electronically controlled active sway bar system developed by SDi. While designed for recreational use, the concept reflects the same goal pursued by racers and suspension engineers alike—providing stability when needed while allowing the suspension to work freely when conditions demand maximum articulation and compliance. The Ultra Edition system utilizes hydraulically controlled locking sway bar links at all four corners of the vehicle. In Active mode, the system can engage and disengage the sway bar links up to 200 times per second, continuously responding to changing terrain and vehicle inputs. Drivers can also select a fully Locked mode for maximum roll control and stability or an Unlocked mode that maximizes wheel independence and suspension articulation for technical terrain. Working in conjunction with Polaris’ DYNAMIX DVS semi-active suspension system, the SDi technology helps balance ride comfort, handling precision, and vehicle stability across a broad range of riding conditions. The result is improved handling, enhanced ride quality, and increased driver confidence whether navigating rough trails, high-speed desert terrain, or technical obstacles. Proven Where It Matters Most Baja has long served as one of the ultimate proving grounds for off-road technology. Components that can survive and perform across hundreds of miles of punishing terrain earn credibility that cannot be replicated in a laboratory or test track environment. While top teams utilize a variety of suspension setups and tuning strategies, the success of racers using SDi Active Sway Bar Links demonstrates the value of advanced suspension technology in modern desert racing. Branden Sims’ overall victory provides another example of how carefully developed suspension components can contribute to a winning race program when paired with a well-prepared vehicle and talented driver. The transition of this technology from the race course to production vehicles such as the RZR Pro R Ultra Edition further illustrates how innovations developed under the harshest racing conditions can ultimately benefit recreational riders. SDi UNIVERSAL E-LINK ELECTRONIC SWAY BAR LINK Looking Ahead Beyond the RZR Pro R Factory race program and the production RZR Pro R Ultra Edition, SDi continues to expand its active sway bar technology across the UTV market. The company is developing both manually controlled and electronically controlled active sway bar link systems for a growing range of popular sport and utility side-by-sides. These systems are designed to give drivers greater control over vehicle handling and suspension articulation, allowing them to tailor performance to changing terrain and driving conditions. As demand for more capable and adaptable off-road vehicles continues to grow, active sway bar technology is poised to become an increasingly important part of the UTV suspension landscape. With Polaris racers occupying the top nine overall positions at the 2026 SCORE Baja 500, the RZR Pro R Factory platform continues to establish itself as one of the most dominant forces in UTV desert racing. At the same time, technologies such as SDi’s Active Sway Bar Links continue to demonstrate their value in some of the world’s toughest off-road environments as racers search for every advantage in performance, comfort, and control. As off-road vehicles become increasingly sophisticated, the lessons learned in competition will continue influencing both aftermarket innovation and future production vehicles. The Baja 500 remains one of the industry’s most important proving grounds, and the continued success of racers utilizing advanced suspension technologies demonstrates how innovation on the race course ultimately benefits off-road enthusiasts everywhere. ICECO Introduces VL45 PLUS: The World’s First 3-Way Access Portable Freezer
For overlanders, campers, RV travelers, and UTV adventurers, portable refrigeration has become one of the most valuable upgrades for extended trips. ICECO is aiming to redefine the category with the launch of the new VL45 PLUS, a portable refrigerator/freezer that introduces a first-of-its-kind 3-way access design intended to make food and beverage storage more convenient in confined vehicle installations. ICECO VL45 PLUS Built on the foundation of ICECO’s popular VL Series refrigerators, the VL45 PLUS combines rugged all-metal construction, premium SECOP compressor technology, advanced insulation, and multiple control options into a package designed specifically for overland vehicles, truck campers, RVs, boats, and off-road adventure rigs. Solving a Common Overlanding Problem Traditional portable refrigerators typically rely on a top-opening lid. While effective, accessing contents can become challenging when the refrigerator is installed in a tightly packed vehicle, surrounded by camping gear, recovery equipment, or storage systems. The VL45 PLUS addresses this issue with an innovative 3-way access system. In addition to dual-opening top lids that can be opened from either side, the refrigerator also features a pull-out side drawer with a slide-out basket. This allows users to access contents from multiple directions without unloading surrounding gear or investing in a heavy-duty refrigerator slide. For UTV owners building expedition-style machines, truck campers maximizing storage space, or overlanders working within limited cargo areas, the ability to reach food and drinks without rearranging equipment could prove to be a significant advantage. Premium Cooling Performance At the heart of the VL45 PLUS is a SECOP compressor, a name well-known in the overlanding community for reliability, efficiency, and consistent cooling performance. The single-zone refrigerator/freezer offers a temperature range from 0°F to 50°F, allowing it to function as either a refrigerator or freezer depending on the user’s needs. The VL45 PLUS provides approximately 44 quarts (42 liters) of storage capacity, enough room for food and beverages during multi-day adventures. The interior is designed to accommodate upright 2-liter bottles, making efficient use of available space. Power can be supplied through either 12V/24V DC vehicle power or standard 110V AC household power, making the refrigerator equally useful at camp, at home, or on the road. Advanced Insulation Improves Efficiency One of the most notable upgrades in the VL45 PLUS is ICECO’s use of Vacuum Insulated Panel (VIP) technology combined with thick 72mm insulation walls. The enhanced insulation helps retain cold temperatures longer while reducing compressor cycling and overall power consumption. For travelers relying on battery power, solar charging systems, or portable power stations, improved efficiency can translate directly into longer run times and reduced energy demands during extended off-grid adventures. Smart Controls and Apple CarPlay Integration ICECO has incorporated several modern control options into the VL45 PLUS. Users can operate the refrigerator through an onboard control panel, a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone app, or directly through Apple CarPlay integration. The system allows users to adjust temperature settings, switch between MAX and ECO operating modes, select voltage protection levels, and monitor refrigerator performance remotely. The side-mounted control panel is positioned for improved visibility and easier access when the refrigerator is installed in a vehicle. Magnetic Battery Compatibility Another unique feature is compatibility with ICECO’s magnetic battery system. The optional battery pack attaches directly to the refrigerator, creating a cleaner and more compact power solution for off-grid use. This eliminates much of the cable clutter typically associated with portable power stations and auxiliary batteries while giving users additional flexibility when camping, overlanding, or attending off-road events. ICECO’s magnetic battery system can also serve as a portable power source for charging devices such as phones, cameras, and laptops. Built for Off-Road Travel The VL45 PLUS was clearly designed with overlanding and off-road use in mind. The refrigerator features an all-metal body, reinforced corners, integrated tie-down points, and a mounting system designed to withstand rough terrain and long-distance travel. Rather than requiring aftermarket mounting solutions, ICECO has incorporated secure mounting provisions directly into the design. This helps simplify installation while keeping the refrigerator stable on rough trails, washboard roads, and backcountry routes. Ideal for UTV Adventure Travel As more UTV enthusiasts embrace multi-day adventure travel and overlanding, refrigeration has become increasingly common in trail rigs. Whether exploring remote backcountry routes, attending destination events, hunting, fishing, or camping off-grid, the ability to keep food fresh and beverages cold can significantly improve the experience. The VL45 PLUS offers a combination of durability, efficiency, and accessibility that appears well-suited for modern adventure vehicles. Its innovative side-access design may be especially appealing to riders with limited cargo space who need quick access to supplies without unpacking their gear. Launching Through Kickstarter ICECO has chosen Kickstarter as the launch platform for the VL45 PLUS, giving outdoor enthusiasts and overlanders an opportunity to support the product before its retail release. Crowdfunding campaigns often provide early-bird pricing and exclusive launch incentives for backers, making Kickstarter an attractive option for those interested in being among the first to own the new refrigerator. The campaign also allows ICECO to gather feedback from its passionate community of campers, overlanders, and off-road adventurers as the product enters the market. For consumers considering a portable refrigerator upgrade, the VL45 PLUS Kickstarter campaign offers an opportunity to secure one of the most innovative refrigeration products currently entering the overlanding space. Looking Ahead ICECO has built a strong reputation among overlanders and outdoor enthusiasts by delivering high-quality portable refrigeration systems that balance performance, durability, and value. With the introduction of the VL45 PLUS, the company is taking a fresh approach to one of the most common frustrations associated with portable refrigerators: accessibility. By combining a world-first 3-way access design, SECOP compressor technology, Vacuum Insulated Panels, smart controls, Apple CarPlay integration, magnetic battery compatibility, and rugged construction, the VL45 PLUS stands out as one of the most innovative portable refrigerator/freezers to enter the overlanding market in recent years. For adventurers looking to maximize convenience and efficiency on extended trips, it could become one of the most compelling refrigeration options available. Polaris Dominates the 2026 Baja 500 with Sweep of UTV Overall Podium
ENSENADA, Mexico — The 57th running of the SCORE Baja 500 once again demonstrated why Polaris remains one of the dominant forces in desert racing. Battling through 468 miles of Baja California’s unforgiving terrain, Polaris racers delivered a commanding performance, sweeping the overall UTV podium and capturing the top nine overall finishing positions in one of off-road racing’s most prestigious events. Leading the charge was veteran desert racer Branden Sims, who piloted his Polaris RZR Pro R Factory to the overall UTV victory. The win marked a significant milestone for Sims, who was seeking his first SCORE victory since 2022 and achieved it in only his second race behind the wheel of the latest-generation RZR Pro R Factory race machine. Branden Sims Sims Executes a Perfect Baja Strategy Unlike sprint-style racing, the Baja 500 often rewards patience and race management as much as outright speed. Sims showcased exactly that approach throughout the event. Starting sixth off the line, Sims avoided unnecessary risks early in the race while steadily moving forward through the field. As conditions deteriorated and competitors encountered the challenges that Baja is known for, Sims remained consistent and mistake-free. His disciplined strategy ultimately positioned him to take control late in the race and secure the overall win. The victory adds another major Baja accomplishment to an already impressive racing résumé that includes previous Baja 500 and Baja 1000 victories. Wayne Matlock All-Polaris Podium Highlights Brand Strength While Sims captured the spotlight, Polaris’ overall performance may have been even more impressive. Veteran racer Wayne Matlock fought his way forward from a ninth-place starting position to finish second overall. Joining him on the podium was Ethan Groom, who earned third place in his first season as a member of the RZR Factory Racing team. The podium sweep highlighted the depth of talent within the Polaris racing program and showcased the competitiveness of the RZR Pro R Factory platform across multiple teams and drivers. Ethan Groom Polaris Locks Out the Top Nine The dominance didn’t stop with the podium. When the dust settled in Ensenada, Polaris racers occupied every one of the top nine overall UTV finishing positions: Branden Sims Wayne Matlock Ethan Groom Mitch Guthrie Jr. Dallas Gonzalez Joe Terrana / Rodrigo Ampudia Mike Cafro Sebastian Marquez Kristen Matlock Even more impressive, the top six overall finishers were all driving Polaris RZR Pro R Factory race vehicles. Such a performance is exceptionally rare in major off-road racing and further cements Polaris’ position at the forefront of UTV desert competition. Branden Sims RZR Pro R Factory Continues Winning Tradition The Baja 500 has long served as one of the toughest proving grounds in motorsports. Vehicles must endure high-speed lakebeds, deep silt, rocky canyons, and relentless punishment over hundreds of miles. The latest Baja result adds another chapter to the growing legacy of the RZR Pro R Factory platform. Designed specifically for top-level desert competition, the machine has quickly established itself as one of the benchmark vehicles in SCORE racing. The ability of six RZR Pro R Factory entries to claim the top six overall finishing positions speaks not only to the vehicle’s speed but also its durability and reliability—two characteristics that are often the deciding factors in Baja competition. POLARIS RZR PRO R FACTORY: THE INDUSTRY’S ONLY OEM-PRODUCED RACE-READY SIDE-BY- SIDE NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE Looking Ahead to Vegas to Reno With the Baja 500 now in the books, the Polaris factory effort will shift its attention back to the United States for the 2026 Best In The Desert Vegas to Reno race, scheduled for August 12-16. Known as one of the longest off-road races in North America, Vegas to Reno presents a different challenge than Baja, but Polaris enters the event with considerable momentum following one of the most dominant performances in recent SCORE history. For many off-road enthusiasts, the Rubicon Trail sits at the very top of the bucket list. Widely regarded as the crown jewel of four-wheel-drive trails, the Rubicon has challenged drivers for decades with its massive granite obstacles, technical rock sections, stunning Sierra Nevada scenery, and rich off-road heritage. UTV Con’Quest offers one of the best ways to experience this legendary trail, combining guided adventure, trail support, great food, and camaraderie into a multi-day off-road experience unlike any other. Rubicon Springs The Rubicon Trail: America’s Most Famous Off-Road Route Stretching between Loon Lake and Tahoma, California, the Rubicon Trail winds through the rugged Sierra Nevada Mountains and the beautiful Desolation Wilderness. The trail is considered one of the most difficult public off-road routes in North America and has earned a reputation as the ultimate proving ground for both vehicles and drivers. What makes the Rubicon so special isn’t just the technical terrain. The trail passes through breathtaking alpine landscapes, crystal-clear streams, dense forests, and historic landmarks that showcase some of the most spectacular scenery found anywhere in the off-road world. For many enthusiasts, completing the Rubicon Trail is a lifelong achievement. Crossing the bridge into Rubicon Springs A Trail Steeped in Off-Road History The Rubicon Trail’s roots stretch back more than a century. Originally used by Native Americans and later traveled by early settlers and miners, portions of the route were developed into wagon roads during California’s Gold Rush era. As four-wheel-drive vehicles became more popular after World War II, off-road pioneers began exploring the rugged route, helping establish the Rubicon as the ultimate test of vehicle capability and driver skill. By the 1950s and 1960s, organized trail runs such as the Jeepers Jamboree brought national attention to the trail, cementing its reputation as one of the most challenging and iconic off-road destinations in the world. Today, the Rubicon remains a symbol of off-road adventure and public land access, attracting enthusiasts from around the globe who come to experience a trail that has shaped the history and culture of four-wheeling for generations. What Makes UTV Con’Quest Unique Organized by the team behind the famous Jeepers Jamboree, UTV Con’Quest is designed specifically for side-by-side owners who want to experience the Rubicon with the support of experienced guides and trail crews. Rather than tackling the trail alone, participants benefit from organized logistics, trail guidance, and mechanical support throughout the journey. The adventure begins at Loon Lake before making its way across the Rubicon Trail to the legendary Rubicon Springs campground. Along the route, drivers navigate many of the trail’s most famous obstacles while learning from guides who help identify the best lines through challenging sections. Even experienced off-roaders often appreciate the local knowledge and support that comes with the organized event. Tackling Legendary Rubicon Obstacles The Rubicon Trail is known worldwide for its challenging granite terrain and iconic obstacles. Drivers encounter steep rock climbs, off-camber sections, large boulder fields, and technical rock gardens that demand both vehicle capability and driver skill. Modern side-by-sides have become increasingly capable on the Rubicon thanks to advances in suspension technology, larger tires, locking differentials, and improved ground clearance. UTV Con’Quest gives participants the opportunity to test their machines on one of the most demanding and rewarding trails in the country while surrounded by fellow enthusiasts who share the same passion for adventure. Rubicon Springs: The Heart of the Experience One of the highlights of UTV Con’Quest is spending time at Rubicon Springs. Surrounded by towering granite peaks and beautiful mountain scenery, it provides the perfect setting to relax after a day on the trail. Participants enjoy meals, evening activities, and the opportunity to connect with fellow UTV owners from across the country. Stories from the day’s adventures often continue late into the evening around camp, creating memories and friendships that last long after the event ends. Buck Island on the Rubicon Trail More Than Just a Trail Ride While conquering the Rubicon Trail is the primary attraction, UTV Con’Quest delivers much more than simply driving from one end of the trail to the other. The event combines world-class rock crawling with stunning scenery, organized support, and a strong sense of community. For many attendees, the event becomes an annual tradition and an opportunity to revisit one of the most iconic off-road destinations in North America. Whether it’s your first trip across the Rubicon or your tenth, every run offers new challenges and unforgettable experiences. Yamaha Wolverine X2 on the Rubicon Trail Vehicle Preparation Matters The Rubicon Trail is not a place to cut corners on vehicle preparation. A well-maintained machine and proper preparation go a long way toward ensuring a successful and enjoyable trip. Fortunately, UTV Con’Quest provides support crews and experienced personnel to help participants navigate the challenges that come with traversing one of the toughest trails in the country. No Host Bar in Rubicon Springs A Bucket-List Adventure Few off-road experiences can match the challenge, history, and scenery of the Rubicon Trail. UTV Con’Quest removes much of the uncertainty associated with tackling such an iconic route by providing guidance, support, meals, camping, and logistics throughout the adventure. Cedar Suspension Co.: Raising the Bar for UTV Suspension Performance
As the UTV market continues to evolve, owners are demanding more from their machines than ever before. Whether it’s exploring remote backcountry trails, tackling technical rock-crawling obstacles, or covering hundreds of miles on multi-day adventures, suspension performance has become one of the most important factors in overall vehicle capability. That’s where Cedar Suspension Co. has carved out its niche. Based in Cedar City, Utah, Cedar Suspension Co. has rapidly become one of the most respected names in the UTV suspension industry. Known for innovative engineering, American-made quality, and products designed for real-world riders, the company has earned a loyal following among enthusiasts looking to improve ride quality, handling, and durability without sacrificing reliability. Polaris Pro S Rock Series Suspension Kit Born in the Heart of the Southwest Few places offer a better proving ground for suspension development than Southern Utah. From the slickrock of Moab and Sand Hollow to the rugged mountain trails and desert terrain surrounding Cedar City, Cedar Suspension Co. has access to some of the most demanding off-road environments in the country. Rather than relying solely on computer modeling, the company puts its products through extensive real-world testing. This hands-on approach allows engineers to fine-tune suspension geometry, optimize ride quality, and ensure components can withstand the punishment that serious UTV owners expect. With decades of combined experience navigating the rugged terrain of Southern Utah and beyond, the Cedar Suspension Co. team brings a unique blend of engineering expertise and real-world off-road knowledge to every suspension system they design. Polaris Pro R Desert Series Suspension Kit Engineering for the Complete Vehicle One of the key philosophies behind Cedar Suspension Co. products is maintaining a balanced vehicle package. Instead of simply chasing maximum suspension travel numbers, the company focuses on improving overall vehicle dynamics. Their suspension systems are engineered to provide better ride comfort, increased control in rough terrain, improved stability, and enhanced durability while maintaining predictable handling characteristics. The result is a UTV that feels more capable and comfortable across a wide range of riding conditions. This approach has resonated with owners who use their machines for everything from extreme rock crawling and fast-paced desert runs to weekend trail rides and hunting trips. Expanding Product Lineup Cedar Suspension Co. has continued to expand its product offerings to support many of today’s most popular utility and sport UTV platforms. Can-Am Defender HD11 Mid-Travel Suspension Kit Can-Am Defender HD11 The company has expanded support for the Can-Am Defender lineup with the all-new Defender HD11, bringing its suspension expertise to BRP’s next-generation utility platform. As the Defender HD11 gains popularity among recreational riders who want more from the utility-based machine, Cedar Suspension Co. is positioned to offer suspension solutions that help owners unlock even more capability from their vehicles. The company’s HD11 Mid-Travel Suspension Kit widens the Defender by utilizing longer suspension arms, increasing both suspension travel and vehicle stability. The wider stance improves cornering confidence and control in rough terrain, while the additional suspension travel helps absorb larger bumps and obstacles, delivering a smoother and more capable ride. Polaris RZR Pro R Rock Kit Polaris RZR Pro R Rock Kit Cedar Suspension Co.’s Polaris RZR Pro S Rock Kit is designed to enhance both durability and capability in technical terrain. The system replaces the factory shock fork arrangement by mounting the shock directly to the lower control arm, creating a stronger and more robust suspension package while reducing stress on suspension components. In the rear, the kit incorporates a revised trailing arm design with a shortened toe-link, allowing the arm to be tucked higher for increased ground clearance and improved obstacle clearance. These changes help the Pro S better handle rocky trails, ledges, and demanding off-road conditions while preserving the vehicle’s balanced handling characteristics. Can-Am Maverick X3 XRS Lower Shock Mount Suspension Kit Can-Am Maverick X3 For Can-Am Maverick X3 owners pushing their machines in demanding terrain, Cedar Suspension Co.‘s Lower Shock Mount Suspension Kit delivers added confidence and durability where it’s needed most. Developed and tested in the rugged landscapes of Southern Utah, the heavy-duty arms are designed to resist bending and damage from rocks, ledges, and high-speed impacts while maintaining the precise handling and suspension performance that Maverick X3 owners expect. The result is a stronger, more capable suspension package built for everything from desert racing to technical trail adventures. A key feature of Cedar Suspension Co.‘s Maverick X3 Lower Shock Mount Suspension Kit is its redesigned shock mounting configuration, which relocates the lower shock mount from the factory upper control arm position to the lower arm. This revised geometry reduces stress on the upper control arm, improves suspension leverage ratios, and allows the shocks to work more efficiently throughout the suspension’s travel. The result is improved ride quality, better small-bump compliance, increased suspension control in rough terrain, and enhanced durability for aggressive off-road use. Additional offerings include suspension components, control arms, radius rods, and chassis upgrades engineered to withstand aggressive use in demanding terrain. CSC’s race-proven suspension kits at King of the Hammers Designed, Tested and Built in America A defining characteristic of Cedar Suspension Co. is its commitment to domestic manufacturing. Products are designed, tested, fabricated, and assembled in the United States using premium materials and manufacturing processes. This commitment to quality allows the company to maintain strict standards throughout the production process while supporting American manufacturing and ensuring rapid product development. Customers benefit from components that are built to withstand years of hard use while maintaining the fit, finish, and performance expected from a premium suspension manufacturer. Partnering with Industry Leaders A core part of Cedar Suspension Co.’s philosophy is that suspension performance is about more than individual components—it’s about creating a complete system where every part works together. While the company’s suspension kits are engineered to improve geometry, durability, travel, and vehicle dynamics, maximizing performance requires shocks that are specifically tuned to complement those changes. SDi Terrain Master 2.1 Shocks That’s why Cedar Suspension Co. works closely with premium shock manufacturers such as Suspension Direct Inc. (SDi). By pairing advanced suspension geometry with properly valved and tuned shock packages, customers benefit from a more refined suspension system that delivers improved ride quality, better control, increased comfort, and enhanced performance across a wide range of terrain. SDi E-LINK for the Polaris RZR Pro S Rather than treating suspension components as standalone upgrades, Cedar Suspension Co. takes a whole-package approach to vehicle performance. The result is a suspension system that feels balanced, predictable, and confidence-inspiring whether navigating technical rock trails, high-speed desert terrain, or long-distance adventure routes. Can-Am Maverick R Lower Control Arm Looking Ahead As UTV manufacturers continue introducing larger, more capable, and increasingly sophisticated machines, the demand for high-quality suspension systems continues to grow. Cedar Suspension Co. remains focused on developing products that deliver meaningful performance gains while preserving the reliability, durability, and real-world functionality that riders depend on. From utility-focused workhorses like the Polaris RANGER XD 1500 and Can-Am Defender HD11, to adventure-ready recreation-utility platforms such as the Polaris XPEDITION, and high-performance sport UTVs including the Polaris RZR Pro R and Can-Am Maverick R, Cedar Suspension Co. is committed to helping owners unlock the full potential of their machines. By combining innovative suspension design, premium manufacturing, extensive real-world testing, and a whole-system approach to vehicle performance, the company continues to develop products that enhance capability, comfort, and confidence in demanding terrain. For riders who believe adventure begins where the pavement ends, Cedar Suspension Co. is building the suspension systems that help make those adventures possible. Can-Am Maverick R Suspension Kit About Cedar Suspension Co. Cedar Suspension Co. is a U.S.-based manufacturer of premium UTV suspension systems, control arms, chassis components, and performance upgrades. Headquartered in Cedar City, Utah, the company develops and manufactures products designed to improve ride quality, handling, durability, and overall vehicle performance. The U10 PRO lineup incorporates features such as a large touchscreen display, advanced connectivity options, improved suspension travel, and enhanced interior comfort. Buyers can choose from both three-passenger and six-passenger XL versions, as well as Highland models equipped with factory-installed cab systems and climate-control features designed for year-round use. 2026 CFMOTO UFORCE U10 PRO HIGHLAND 2026 CFMOTO UFORCE U10 XL PRO HIGHLAND UFORCE U10 XL PRO HIGHLAND At the top of the UFORCE lineup sits the U10 XL PRO HIGHLAND, CFMOTO’s most luxurious and feature-packed utility side-by-side. With its combination of six-passenger capacity, enclosed climate-controlled cab, impressive towing and hauling capabilities, and premium comfort features, the U10 XL PRO HIGHLAND is well suited for ranch owners, outfitters, property managers, and outdoor enthusiasts who spend time in extreme weather conditions and want a machine capable of working year-round. A Strong Value Proposition One of the biggest reasons CFMOTO continues gaining market share is its value equation. Many UFORCE models come standard with features that are often optional on competing machines, including roofs, winches, power steering, alloy wheels, and premium interior appointments. This approach allows buyers to get more equipment for their money while maintaining competitive performance and capability. While premium brands continue to dominate portions of the utility side-by-side market, CFMOTO has established itself as a serious contender by delivering dependable performance, practical features, and attractive pricing across the entire UFORCE lineup. Whether you’re looking for an affordable property maintenance vehicle, a six-passenger trail machine, or a premium utility side-by-side with modern technology, the UFORCE family offers an option worth considering. Which UFORCE Is Right for You? UFORCE 600: Best for property owners, hunters, and recreational users seeking affordability and maneuverability.
