System 3 Offroad Expands XTR370 Lineup with New XTR370W Wide Tire
System 3 Offroad has expanded its popular XTR370 tire lineup with the introduction of the all-new XTR370W, a wider and more aggressive evolution of the original X-Terrain radial tire designed specifically for extreme terrain performance. Building off the proven foundation of the standard XTR370, the new “W” variant introduces a massive 12-inch-wide tread profile that is engineered to help UTVs stay on top of ruts instead of falling into them. The wider footprint increases flotation and stability while also improving traction in deep mud, loose terrain, and technical rock sections. The original XTR370 earned a strong reputation among UTV riders thanks to its deep tread design, multi-angle shoulder lugs, and durable radial construction. Available in sizes ranging from 27-inch to massive 40-inch applications, the standard XTR370 uses an 8-ply radial carcass combined with aggressive tread depths ranging from 0.75-inch up to 1.25-inch depending on tire size. The new XTR370W takes that concept even further with an impressive 1.125-inch tread depth and updated multi-angle tread blocks featuring integrated siping. This design allows the tread lugs to flex and clamp onto terrain more effectively, increasing traction on rocks, slick surfaces, roots, and uneven terrain. System 3 also extended the sidewall tread on the XTR370W to improve side bite and lateral grip during off-camber climbs and aggressive cornering. The larger tread footprint combined with enhanced sidewall traction should make the new tire especially appealing to riders tackling technical rock crawling terrain and deep rutted trails. The XTR370W will be available in two different constructions depending on rider preference and terrain conditions. The standard XTR370W uses a tough 10-ply-rated radial carcass paired with a trail-oriented compound that balances durability, puncture resistance, flotation, and ride comfort. This version is aimed at riders looking for long-lasting performance in harsh terrain. For maximum traction, the XTR370W Sticky Compound model combines System 3’s proprietary soft rubber compound with a more flexible 8-ply-rated radial carcass. The softer compound and increased carcass flex are designed to dramatically improve grip on slick rock and technical surfaces while also increasing flotation. The addition of the XTR370W gives System 3 a serious contender in the growing ultra-wide extreme terrain tire category while building upon the reputation and performance of the original XTR370 platform. For riders looking for increased flotation, deeper tread, and maximum traction in extreme terrain, the new XTR370W appears ready to push the XTR370 lineup to the next level. The XTR370W will be available June 2026. For more information about the new XTR370W and the complete XTR370 tire lineup, visit System 3 Offroad. CFMOTO ZFORCE Z10 Review
The all-new CFMOTO ZFORCE Z10 marks a major step forward for CFMOTO in the high-performance sport UTV market. Designed to compete directly with machines like the Polaris RZR, Can-Am Maverick X3 DS, and Kawasaki Teryx KRX, the Z10 combines big horsepower, premium suspension, modern technology, and aggressive styling at a price point that undercuts much of the competition. At the heart of the Z10 is a turbocharged 998cc triple-cylinder engine producing up to 154 horsepower and 107 lb-ft of torque depending on market specifications. Power delivery is smooth and surprisingly refined for a turbocharged platform, with strong midrange acceleration that works equally well in dunes, fast desert terrain, and technical trails. The new OmniDrive CVT feels tighter and more responsive than previous CFMOTO drivetrains, helping the Z10 feel far more polished than earlier ZFORCE models. One particularly smart design feature on the Z10 is the rear-mounted radiator and intercooler setup. By moving both heat exchangers behind the cab instead of directly in front of the occupants, CFMOTO helps reduce the amount of engine and turbo heat entering the cockpit. This creates a noticeably cooler interior environment during long rides, especially in desert conditions where heat management becomes a major factor in driver comfort. One of the biggest surprises is how complete the package feels straight from the factory. FOX QSE electronically adjustable shocks with Eibach springs come standard, allowing drivers to switch between soft, medium, and firm suspension settings from the steering wheel. Suspension travel measures 17 inches up front and 20 inches in the rear, giving the Z10 impressive capability in rough terrain. The chassis feels planted at speed while still remaining comfortable on rocky trails and washboard roads. CFMOTO ZFORCE Z10 Another standout feature of the Z10 is the way the chassis and roll cage are integrated together. Unlike some sport UTVs that rely primarily on bolted cage connections, the Z10 features a welded cage structure that ties directly into the chassis in four key locations. This creates a more rigid overall platform that helps improve handling precision, suspension performance, and overall durability in rough terrain. That added rigidity becomes especially noticeable when driving aggressively through whoops, rocky trails, or uneven terrain where chassis flex can affect vehicle feel. The integrated design gives the Z10 a more solid and planted character while also contributing to the premium fit and finish throughout the vehicle. Inside the cockpit, the Z10 feels far more premium than many riders might expect from CFMOTO. The 12.3-inch RideSync touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, steering wheel-mounted controls, backup camera, and digital driver display bring automotive-inspired technology into the off-road world. Suspension seats, NFC key functionality, and multiple drive modes add to the upscale experience. The overall interior quality is a noticeable improvement over previous CFMOTO machines and rivals some of the more established premium brands. Inside the cockpit – nice seats and a view at the air inlet for heat exchangers The Z10 also comes impressively equipped from the factory with features many competitors reserve for higher trim levels or accessories. Standard equipment includes a 4,500-pound winch with synthetic rope, half doors, aluminum bash plates, HDPE skid protection, front and rear sway bars, recovery hooks, and 30-inch tires. That gives buyers a machine that is trail-ready without immediately requiring thousands of dollars in upgrades. One area where we would like to see improvement is the lack of a factory roof. In our opinion, every UTV should include a roof regardless of price point. A roof adds a significant amount of comfort and protection from sun, rain, mud, and trail debris, especially during long days on the trail or in harsh desert environments. While many owners will likely add an aftermarket or accessory roof right away, it’s one of those features that feels essential on a modern sport UTV. Considering how well-equipped the Z10 is in nearly every other area, a standard roof would have made the package feel even more complete. Where the Z10 still has something to prove is long-term durability and dealer support. Polaris and Can-Am have decades of racing and performance credibility behind them, while CFMOTO is still building confidence in the premium sport segment. Still, the value proposition is difficult to ignore. With pricing starting around $19,999 for the two-seat model, the Z10 delivers a huge amount of performance and technology for the money. Comparable machines from other manufacturers can quickly climb well beyond that price once similar suspension, electronics, and accessories are added. Final Verdict The CFMOTO ZFORCE Z10 is easily the most serious sport UTV CFMOTO has ever produced. It combines strong turbocharged performance, premium FOX suspension, impressive factory technology, and aggressive styling into a package that feels far more refined than many expected. Features like the rear-mounted cooling system and welded integrated chassis design help separate the Z10 from the crowded sport UTV market while contributing to improved comfort and durability. While it still needs to establish a long-term reputation for durability and aftermarket support, the Z10 proves that CFMOTO is no longer just competing on price alone. For riders looking for maximum features and performance per dollar, the Z10 may be one of the biggest disruptors the sport UTV market has seen in years. 2026 TREAD Off-Road Expo Returns to St. George with $10K Giveaway and Expanded Vendor Show
The 2026 TREAD Off-Road Expo is returning to St. George, Utah, on June 19-20, 2026, bringing together some of the biggest names in off-road performance, aftermarket parts, fabrication, and adventure lifestyle products for two days at the Dixie Convention Center. Organizers are billing this year’s expo as the biggest yet, with expanded vendor participation, exclusive show specials, hands-on displays, and a massive $10,000 “TREAD Bucks” giveaway for attendees. Held in the heart of Southern Utah’s off-road playground, the TREAD Off-Road Expo continues to position itself as more than just a trade show. The event is designed as a gathering place for the entire off-road community, from hardcore rock crawlers and UTV enthusiasts to overlanders, dirt bike riders, and weekend trail explorers. Organizers describe the event as a place where “brands meet the trail,” connecting enthusiasts directly with the companies and builders behind the latest innovations in off-road performance. The expo floor will feature vendors showcasing suspension systems, wheels and tires, lighting, recovery gear, electronics, fabrication equipment, overland products, and complete custom vehicle builds. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with manufacturers, compare products in person, and take advantage of show-only discounts and promotions. According to event organizers, the expo is intended to help enthusiasts make real purchasing and build decisions rather than simply browsing static displays. One of the biggest additions for 2026 is the “TREAD Bucks Giveaway,” where attendees will have chances throughout the weekend to win expo credit redeemable with participating vendors. Organizers say more than $10,000 in TREAD Bucks will be given away during the event, with drawings held every two hours. Winners must be present to claim prizes, which can be used directly on the show floor toward parts, accessories, and gear. In addition to the giveaways, the expo will once again host a large raffle benefiting organizations that support off-road access and public lands advocacy. Proceeds from the raffle help support groups including the BlueRibbon Coalition and the Utah Public Lands Alliance. These organizations work to preserve access to trails and public lands for off-road recreation, making the raffle an important part of the event’s connection to the broader off-road community. Organizers say raffle prizes will include parts, accessories, gear, and products donated by participating exhibitors and sponsors. The expo also highlights the unique off-road terrain surrounding St. George, where nearby trails and riding areas provide a real-world testing ground for the products on display. From Sand Hollow’s slickrock and dunes to desert trails stretching across Southern Utah and Arizona, the region has become one of the top destinations in the country for UTVs, Jeeps, trucks, and overland vehicles. Event hours are scheduled for Friday, June 19 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 20 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George. Additional information, vendor registration, and ticket details can be found at TREAD Off-Road Expo. SDi Announces Terrain Master 2.1 Shocks for the 2026 Can-Am Defender HD11
Suspension Direct Inc. (SDi) has officially expanded its Terrain Master 2.1 shock lineup with a new application for the redesigned 2026 Can-Am Defender HD11. The company says the new shock package was developed specifically for the latest Defender platform to improve ride comfort, control, and stability whether the machine is being used for work, trail riding, or long days in rough terrain. The Terrain Master 2.1 series has already gained attention in the utility UTV market by offering a premium rebuildable shock option for machines that traditionally came equipped with basic emulsion-style shocks. With the arrival of the completely redesigned Defender HD11 platform for 2026, SDi moved quickly to bring a dedicated suspension package to the new model. SDI Terrain Master 2.1 Shocks: Premium Suspension Upgrade for Utility UTVs According to SDi, the new Defender HD11 Terrain Master 2.1 shocks are designed as a direct bolt-on replacement and feature billet aluminum construction, high-flow pistons, piggyback reservoirs, oversized compression adjusters, and fully rebuildable internals. The shocks are engineered to deliver improved small bump compliance while also providing better bottoming resistance and stability under heavier loads. SDi Terrain Master 2.1 Shocks Are available for factory and mid-travel suspension A major focus of the Terrain Master line has been creating a more controlled and comfortable ride for utility-focused UTVs that often see a mix of work and recreation. SDi says the shocks are tuned to help the Defender remain planted and predictable across washboard roads, rocky trails, desert terrain, and uneven job sites. The company also notes that the shocks now come standard with its Zero Fade Fluid designed to improve consistency during extended use and heat buildup. The new shocks arrive at a time when aftermarket suspension upgrades for utility UTVs continue to grow in popularity. While high-performance suspension systems have long been common in sport side-by-sides, many Defender owners are now looking for improved comfort and handling from their work-oriented machines as trail riding and overland-style use become more common. Discussions on Defender owner forums have shown increasing interest in premium shock upgrades for the HD11 platform. The Terrain Master 2.1 shocks feature: Billet aluminum high-flow pistons Low-friction piggyback reservoirs Large-bore compression adjusters Quick-adjust preload rings Hardened shock shafts with hard chrome coating PTFE-lined spherical bearings Fully rebuildable seal heads Vehicle-specific spring tuning SDi says the shocks are intended to provide a premium ride experience without requiring a long-travel suspension conversion or major chassis modifications. Pricing for the complete Can-Am Defender HD11 Terrain Master 2.1 shock package is listed at approximately $2,549.99. The release also highlights how quickly the aftermarket is responding to the new 2026 Can-Am Defender HD11 platform. Following Can-Am’s launch of the updated Defender lineup, suspension manufacturers have already begun rolling out upgraded shocks and suspension components aimed at owners looking to improve ride quality, hauling capability, and off-road performance. About Suspension Direct Inc. Suspension Direct Inc. (SDi) is a California-based suspension manufacturer and distributor specializing in high-performance suspension and chassis components for UTV, motocross, Jeep, and off-road applications. Founded in 2006, SDi has built a reputation for developing innovative products including its Terrain Master shocks, E-CLIK electronic suspension systems, E-LINK sway bar technology, and premium suspension tuning components. BRP Faces Massive Tariff Headwinds as U.S. Trade Changes Shake the Powersports Industry
Canadian powersports giant BRP — parent company of Can-Am, Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo and Lynx — is facing one of the biggest financial challenges in its recent history following major changes to U.S. tariff policy. The company recently announced it is suspending its Fiscal Year 2027 financial guidance after revised U.S. Section 232 tariffs dramatically increased the cost of importing many of its vehicles into the United States. According to BRP, the revised tariff structure now applies a 25% tariff to the total value of imported snowmobiles and most off-road vehicles rather than only taxing the steel, aluminum, and copper content of those products. The changes took effect on April 6, 2026, and the financial impact is substantial. BRP estimates the revised tariff rules could add more than $500 million in additional costs during the remainder of the fiscal year before any mitigation efforts are implemented. The announcement immediately rattled investors. BRP shares plunged sharply after the company withdrew its guidance, with analysts pointing to uncertainty surrounding future pricing, margins, production strategy, and consumer demand. A major factor behind BRP’s exposure is its manufacturing footprint. Many Can-Am off-road vehicles and Ski-Doo products sold in the United States are built in Canada and Mexico, making them especially vulnerable to import tariffs. Industry analysts noted that BRP is more exposed than some competitors because a significant percentage of its production occurs outside the U.S. The tariff situation has also created a sharp contrast between BRP and competitors like Polaris. Polaris recently stated that the revised tariffs are not expected to materially impact its 2026 guidance due in part to its larger U.S.-based manufacturing footprint and stronger domestic supplier network. For consumers, the biggest question is whether tariffs will translate into higher prices on new Can-Am side-by-sides, ATVs, Ski-Doos, and Sea-Doos. While BRP has not announced broad pricing changes yet, the scale of the added costs will likely force the company to pursue a combination of price increases, supply chain adjustments, production shifts, and cost-cutting measures. The broader powersports industry is also watching closely. Dealers and OEMs are already dealing with softening consumer demand, higher interest rates, and elevated inventory levels following the post-pandemic sales boom. Additional tariff-driven price increases could create even more pressure on sales throughout the industry. Despite the uncertainty, BRP says it remains financially stable and believes its strong balance sheet and operational flexibility will help it navigate the challenge. In its official statement, CEO Denis Le Vot acknowledged the “highly volatile and unpredictable tariff environment” while expressing confidence that the company can continue moving forward despite the disruption. For off-road enthusiasts, the situation could become one of the biggest business stories the powersports market has seen in years. If tariffs remain in place long term, they could reshape pricing, manufacturing strategies, and even future model availability across the UTV, ATV, snowmobile, and personal watercraft markets. 2027 NORRA Baja Rally Set for Epic 10-Day Adventure Celebrating 60 Years of Off-Road Racing
The legendary National Off Road Racing Association is gearing up for one of its most ambitious events ever as the dates are now official for the 2027 NORRA Baja 10 Day Rally. Scheduled for April 27 through May 8, 2027, the event will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of NORRA with an unforgettable journey the full length of the Baja Peninsula — and back again. For racers, adventurers, and Baja enthusiasts, the 2027 rally promises to capture everything that makes NORRA special: long days in the dirt, incredible scenery, camaraderie, mechanical survival, and the spirit of old-school Baja racing. The event begins April 27-28 in Ensenada with registration, technical inspection, contingency, and qualifying. From there, competitors will embark on six days of racing southbound through some of Baja’s most iconic terrain on the way to San José del Cabo. Unlike traditional point-to-point races, the NORRA Baja Rally is as much about the experience as the competition itself. Racers can expect thousands of miles of rugged desert trails, rocky mountain passes, sandy washes, and coastal scenery as they work their way down the peninsula. Off-Road Tires Built By Riders, For Riders
Off-Road Tires Built By Riders, For Riders In the off-road industry which is anchored by world-class brands who set the global standard, Chimera was born from a simple belief: that the best off-road products are built by those who spend their weekends in the dust. Chimera was founded by a group of industry veterans who felt the connection between manufacturers and riders was being lost. Instead of building another tire brand from a boardroom, Chimera was built by enthusiasts who spend their weekends in the dust, understand what riders demand, and know what it takes to create products that perform in real-world conditions. The Meaning Behind The Chimera Name In Greek mythology, the Chimera is a powerful, three-headed beast. For Chimera Tires, that name represents the three distinct areas of expertise that came together to form the company. Much like the mythical creature, Chimera is powered by three “heads” that bring more than 50 years of combined off-road industry experience to the brand. The Chimera Tire Lineup Chimera says its tires are “Crafted from Legend, Built for Reality,” with a focus on combining tire-building craftsmanship with modern engineering and real-world testing. The current lineup includes three main tire families: the Typhon, Echidna and Orthrus. Each one is aimed at a different type of rider, machine and terrain. TYPHON: Built For Performance UTVS The TyphonAT is Chimera’s performance-focused UTV tire. It is designed for today’s high-performance side-by-sides and is aimed at riders who split time between desert riding, rough mountain trails and aggressive weekend use. Chimera built the TyphonAT with an 8-ply radial carcass, additional puncture-resistant sidewall material, 1K Denier nylon belting and an aggressive sidewall lug for added strength. The tire also uses a crown-radius tread profile designed to help with predictable steering in uneven terrain and ruts. TyphonAT highlights: Designed for modern performance UTVs Built for desert racing and mountain terrain 8-ply radial carcass Additional puncture-resistant sidewall material Aggressive sidewall lug for strength and handling Nylon-belted radial construction Sizes listed include 28-, 30-, 32-, 33- and 35-inch options ECHIDNA: The All-Terrain Explorer Tire The EchidnaXAT is Chimera’s versatile all-terrain UTV tire. This is the tire aimed at riders who want one setup that can handle a variety of terrain instead of being locked into one riding style. Like the TyphonAT, the EchidnaXAT uses an 8-ply radial carcass, puncture-resistant sidewall material, 1K Denier nylon belting and a crown-radius tread profile. Chimera describes it as a tire built for modern UTVs and riders who want off-road capability across multiple terrain types. EchidnaXAT highlights: Built for modern UTVs Designed for multiple terrain types 8-ply radial carcass Puncture-resistant sidewall material Aggressive sidewall lug High-quality rubber compound for traction and tread life Nylon-belted radial construction ORTHRUS: The Workhorse of the Lineup The OrthrusIT is Chimera’s work-focused tire for ATVs and small-bore UTVs. This is the tire for riders who need something that can handle chores, ranch work, utility use and still get them into the mountains on the weekend. Chimera gives the OrthrusIT a 6-ply bias carcass, aggressive sidewall lugs, a high-quality rubber compound and nylon-belted bias construction. The goal is to keep the tire flexible enough for traction while still maintaining strength and predictable handling. OrthrusIT highlights: Designed for ATVs and small-bore UTVs Built for work and weekend riding 6-ply bias carcass Aggressive sidewall lug Puncture resistance and added sidewall strength Nylon-belted bias construction Available in smaller ATV-friendly sizes WHY IT MATTERS The ATV and UTV tire market is packed, but Chimera is clearly going after riders who need more than a basic replacement tire. The lineup is split in a smart way: Typhon for higher-performance UTVs, Echidna for all-terrain exploration, and Orthrus for ATV and utility-minded riders. For riders who spend time in rocks, ruts, sand, snow, hardpack and mountain terrain, the right tire can change the entire feel of the machine. Sidewall strength, carcass construction, tread shape and rubber compound all matter when you are trying to put power to the ground and keep moving. Chimera’s three-tire lineup gives off-road riders a simple way to pick the right tire based on how they ride: race and rip, explore everywhere, or work all week and play on the weekend. Sector Seven PRIZM Mirrors Redefine Night Riding Visibility
When it comes to UTV accessories, few products completely change the driving experience the way the PRIZM LED Lighted Mirrors from Sector Seven do. Combining high-end billet mirrors with an incredibly powerful integrated lighting system, the PRIZM is designed for riders who regularly push into the desert after sunset and demand maximum visibility without cluttering their roll cage with oversized light bars. Developed by Idaho-based Sector Seven, the PRIZM system blends premium side mirrors, ultra-wide LED lighting, turn signals, and trail-focused engineering into one sleek package. The result is one of the most innovative lighting products currently available for the UTV market. More Than Just Mirrors At first glance, the PRIZM units look like premium billet aluminum side mirrors, but hidden inside is an extremely powerful LED lighting system. Each mirror assembly features integrated high-output LEDs capable of producing an impressive 24,000 raw lumens combined output. Sector Seven says the mirrors generate a massive 200-degree field of illumination designed to light up corners, washes, dunes, and trail edges that traditional forward-facing light bars often miss. The mirrors also include multiple lighting modes, including a Turbo mode that boosts output to roughly 200 watts for maximum nighttime visibility. According to Sector Seven, the PRIZM system uses 22 strategically placed LEDs to improve both peripheral and forward visibility while reducing shadows near the vehicle. For riders who spend time navigating tight canyons, technical rock trails, or high-speed desert terrain after dark, the added side illumination can make a dramatic difference compared to relying solely on roof-mounted lighting. Sector Seven PRIZM Mirrors Premium Billet Construction Like the rest of the Sector Seven lineup, the PRIZM mirrors are precision-machined from billet 6061 aluminum and assembled in the United States. The mirrors utilize Sector Seven’s Infinity Mount system, allowing extensive adjustability while maintaining a solid, vibration-resistant mounting platform. The design gives the PRIZM a high-end motorsports appearance that fits well on modern machines like the Polaris RZR Pro R, Can-Am Maverick R, Polaris XPEDITION, and Kawasaki Teryx KRX 1000. Unlike bulky auxiliary lighting setups, the PRIZM system integrates cleanly into the vehicle while still delivering race-level lighting performance. Sector Seven PRIZM Mirrors Integrated Turn Signals and Smart Features Beyond lighting performance, the PRIZM mirrors also include integrated turn signal functionality, helping improve visibility to other riders in group rides or dusty trail conditions. A supplied multi-function switch controls various lighting modes and allows drivers to quickly switch between standard and Turbo output settings. The complete kit includes: PRIZM mirror assemblies Wiring harness Multi-function control switch Mounting hardware Infinity mounting system Optional extensions and vehicle-specific mounting kits are also available for a wide range of UTV applications. Built for Serious Night Riders Night riding has become increasingly popular across destinations like Sand Hollow State Park, the San Rafael Swell, and Glamis, where visibility and reaction time are critical. The PRIZM system was clearly built with aggressive desert and trail riders in mind. Rather than simply adding more forward light, Sector Seven focused on creating wider usable visibility around the vehicle. That broader illumination can help riders spot drop-offs, rocks, bushes, trail markers, and approaching traffic earlier, especially in technical terrain. With premium construction, integrated lighting, and one of the widest beam patterns currently available in a mirror-mounted setup, the PRIZM LED Lighted Mirrors represent a significant leap forward in UTV lighting technology. BLM Reconsiders OHV Route Closures in Utah’s San Rafael Swell and Desert
The Bureau of Land Management is once again reviewing off-highway vehicle route designations across portions of Central Utah, reopening debate over access in two of the state’s most iconic backcountry regions: the San Rafael Swell and the San Rafael Desert. The agency announced this week that it is seeking public comment on whether certain routes currently marked as closed or limited should be reopened to motorized use. The move could impact hundreds of miles of trails across the red rock landscapes surrounding Green River, Emery County, and the greater San Rafael Recreation Area. For UTV and OHV enthusiasts, the reassessment represents one of the most significant public land access discussions in Utah in recent years. OHV Exploring in the San Rafael Swell What the BLM Is Considering According to the BLM, officials are reevaluating approximately 226 miles of routes within the San Rafael Swell Travel Management Area that were previously designated as closed or limited to OHV use. Another 20 miles of routes in the San Rafael Desert are also under reconsideration. The agency emphasized that all current route designations remain in effect during the reassessment process. No trails have been reopened yet, but the new review could eventually lead to amendments to existing travel management plans. The San Rafael Swell Travel Management Plan, finalized in late 2024, designated approximately: 1,355 miles of routes open to OHV travel 141 miles limited to certain vehicle types or uses 665 miles closed to OHVs Meanwhile, the San Rafael Desert plan currently includes roughly: 600 miles open to OHV use 47 miles limited 534 miles closed The reassessment follows continued pressure from counties, OHV advocacy groups, and lawsuits challenging portions of the original travel management decisions. Why the San Rafael Swell Matters The San Rafael Swell is one of Utah’s premier off-road destinations, stretching across more than a million acres of rugged canyon country between Green River and Hanksville. Known for towering sandstone cliffs, winding washes, mining roads, and remote desert scenery, the area has long been a favorite for UTV exploration, overlanding, rock crawling, camping, and adventure travel. Popular routes throughout the region provide access to areas like Eagle Canyon, Devils Racetrack, Fix-It Pass, Behind the Reef Road, and countless remote overlooks and historic mining sites. The area also contains sensitive cultural resources, wildlife habitat, wilderness study areas, and fragile desert ecosystems, making route management especially controversial. Interstate 70 cuts directly through the Swell, offering easy access to one of the most visually dramatic landscapes in the West. YAMAHA RMAX 4 1000 REVIEW OHV Advocates Push for Reopening Routes Organizations supporting motorized recreation say many of the closures removed long-used access routes that connected trail systems, campsites, and recreational destinations. Groups including the BlueRibbon Coalition and the Utah Public Lands Alliance argue that some closures affected roads that had been responsibly used for decades. Advocacy groups are encouraging riders to submit detailed comments identifying specific route numbers, historic use, recreational value, and access concerns. They argue that public participation could heavily influence whether routes are eventually reopened. Public Comment Period Open Through June 8 The BLM is accepting public comments through June 8, 2026. Riders, landowners, recreation groups, conservation organizations, and local communities can submit comments through the agency’s online ePlanning portals or by mail. Officials specifically requested route-specific comments whenever possible, including trail numbers and details regarding access needs, recreation opportunities, or resource concerns. For Utah’s off-road community, the outcome could shape future access throughout one of the most important OHV regions in the Southwest. Whether you ride a UTV, dirt bike, ATV, or full-size 4×4, the reassessment could determine which routes remain accessible for years to come. SSV Works Launches Plug & Play HD11 Subwoofer Kits
St. George, UT — SSV Works, The Original UTV Audio Brand, proudly announces the release of its all-new Plug-&-Play 10” Subwoofer Add-On Kits for the 2026 Can-Am Defender HD11, now available in both single (DF11-1VTD) and dual (DF11-2VTD) configurations. Designed specifically for the HD11 platform, these kits deliver the deep, hard-hitting bass that factory audio systems are missing, without sacrificing factory fit or functionality. Built for seamless integration, each kit features a vehicle-specific, ported enclosure engineered to mount cleanly under the passenger-side front or rear seat. This design not only preserves valuable cabin space, but also maintains a true factory-style fit and finish, making it ideal for both end users and dealers looking to upgrade showroom units. Can-Am Defender HD11 Subwoofer Kits Many subwoofer options on the market for the HD11 require cutting into the vehicle’s floor to install. SSV Works eliminates that entirely with a 100% plug-&-play solution, utilizing factory mounting locations and integrated wiring for a straightforward installation. The result is a clean, secure fit with no guesswork and no compromise. At the heart of each system is SSV Works’ 10” subwoofer, paired with a precisely tuned ported enclosure to maximize low-frequency output and efficiency. This combination delivers more air movement, more impact, and a fuller low end, even in demanding off-road environments. Whether customers choose the single or dual sub configuration, they can expect a dramatic improvement in bass response that can be felt as much as heard. Can-Am Defender HD11 Subwoofer Kits The dual subwoofer kit (DF11-2VTD) is designed for those who want to take their system even further, doubling the output and delivering a true high-performance bass experience. Both kits include the necessary amplifier and wiring for a complete, integrated solution. “The HD11 platform is a huge opportunity, but the factory audio leaves a lot on the table when it comes to bass,” said Kelson Downes, Marketing Director of SSV Works. “We built these kits to fix that the right way, with a true plug-&-play solution that delivers real low-end performance without cutting up the vehicle or complicating the install. Whether it’s a single or dual setup, this is the kind of bass customers expect when they upgrade.” Can-Am Defender HD11 Subwoofer Kits In addition to performance and ease of installation, SSV Works continues to set itself apart with its Limited Lifetime Warranty on enclosures and speakers, giving dealers and customers confidence in long-term durability and reliability. Ride Spot: Kelly Point – North Rim of the Grand Canyon
Off-roading to Kelly Point on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon is one of the most remote and rewarding adventures you can take from St. George. Unlike the well-traveled overlooks inside the national park, Kelly Point sits deep within the rugged Arizona Strip—a massive, isolated region defined by deep sand, volcanic rock, and endless desert horizons. This is not a quick scenic drive; it’s a full-day (or better overnight camping) expedition where the journey is every bit as memorable as the destination. The Journey: Distance, Fuel, and Preparation A round trip from the SR7 and River Road area in St. George clocks in at roughly 214 miles, making fuel planning absolutely critical. Most UTVs will require auxiliary fuel to make the trip. Cell service is virtually nonexistent once you leave the pavement, so this is not a ride to take lightly. Traveling with at least one additional vehicle is strongly recommended, along with tools, spare parts, recovery gear, and a reliable GPS navigation system. This is classic Arizona Strip riding—remote, unforgiving, and incredibly scenic. Route Overview: Simple but Remote The route itself is straightforward, even if the terrain can be demanding: Start at SR7 and River Road Take County Highway 5 for approximately 38 miles Turn onto BLM Road 103 and continue for another 42 miles to the park boundary Once you reach the boundary of Grand Canyon National Park, regulations change. Only street-legal vehicles are permitted beyond this point, so plan accordingly if you’re bringing a UTV. Park Boundary From here, the route transitions to NPS1203, beginning near Mt. Dellenbaugh where Mohave County Road 103 meets the park boundary. It’s about 26 miles one-way from the boundary to Kelly Point, and this is where the trail becomes more technical. Trail Conditions: Where It Gets Interesting While the initial sections of the route are relatively fast and flowing, conditions change notably as you pass Waring Ranch. The road becomes rougher, slower, and more rutted, with sections of sand and rock that demand careful driving. In a capable side-by-side like the Polaris RZR XP S 4 Ultimate 2026, the terrain is very manageable, but speeds drop significantly. Expect a slower, more technical crawl as you approach the point—this is not a place to rush. The Destination: Kelly Point Kelly Point delivers one of the most dramatic and least crowded views anywhere along the Grand Canyon. From the edge, you’ll look straight down thousands of feet to the Colorado River, with sweeping views that rival any overlook in the park—without the crowds, guardrails, or infrastructure. The sense of isolation here is unmatched. You’re standing on the edge of one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, yet chances are you won’t see another person. Camping and Alternate Routes Camping is permitted in the area, making it an excellent overnight destination. Be sure to check current regulations and guidelines through the National Park Service before your trip. There are also multiple ways to access NPS1203 depending on your starting point and preferences, allowing for loop routes or extended exploration across the Arizona Strip. This flexibility makes Kelly Point an ideal anchor for a longer backcountry adventure. Final Thoughts Kelly Point isn’t just another trail ride—it’s a commitment. The distance, isolation, and terrain demand respect, but for those who come prepared, it delivers an unforgettable off-road experience. From deep desert sand to one of the most jaw-dropping overlooks in the Southwest, this route perfectly captures what makes UTV exploration so rewarding. 2026 Polaris RZR XP S Sport The post Ride Spot: Kelly Point – North Rim of the Grand Canyon appeared first on UTV Guide. 2026 STREET-LEGAL RZR FOR U.K. MARKET
2026 STREET-LEGAL RZR FOR U.K. MARKET After inventing the Sport SXS category in 2007, Polaris RZR adds street legality to the 2026 RZR XP and Pro XP Ultimate model with Tractor (T1b) homologation across the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) region, including Britain. “Bringing Tractor Homologation to the RZR Pro XP Ultimate is a direct response to our customers who demand a machine without compromise”, commented Nuno Fujo, International Market Manager, Global Recreation. “They want the performance that defines the RZR DNA, but they also need the practical versatility to travel from their garage to the trail. By integrating road legality, we are expanding the horizons of what this platform can do, ensuring that the adventure never stops, no matter the surface.” Tractor homologation enhances the RZR Pro XP Ultimate by meeting the required EU homologation standards, which ensure road readiness through a suite of integrated safety features. These include a full LED turn indicators, mirrors, and a horn, all incorporated into the vehicle’s design alongside RZR Fang Accent Lighting. This classification, therefore, provides owners with the flexibility to travel legally between roads, trails, or work sites, unlocking new potential for both recreational and utility use with the world’s leading Sport SXS platform. Riders can shield themselves from the elements with a full glass windshield, featuring double-layer, laminated, and tempered glass. This pairs perfectly with the Glass Windshield Wiper Kit, which includes a washer fluid reservoir and multi-speed dash control. Upgrades for vehicle protection are available with the front and rear High Coverage fenders, alongside the Heavy Duty Kick-Out Rock Sliders built from rugged 4.5cm steel tubing for outstanding protection without impeding performance. The RZR Pro XP Ultimate retains the race-bred performance that has underpinned the model’s success. Power from its 4-stroke DOHC twin-cylinder turbocharged engine is distributed across a 244CM (96-inch) wheelbase, measuring 162CM (64-inch) in width, providing a planted feel while maintaining the agility needed for tight trails through Xtreme Performance true on-demand AWD/2WD. The vehicle’s suspension architecture is designed to handle the most demanding off-road environments, offering 56CM (22 inches) of travel in the rear and 51CM (20 inches) in the front. Damping is controlled by the DYNAMIX 2.0 semi-active suspension system, which adjusts the FOX ® 2.5 Podium Live Valve shocks in real-time to give you ultimate control on any surface on 30” tyres. This technology stiffens the outside shocks during cornering to reduce body roll and softens them for straight-line comfort, ensuring that the machine’s on-road manners are as refined as its off-road capability. The 2026 model focuses on rider experience with a refined dash layout and improved touchpoints. A 7” RIDE COMMAND display offers GPS navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and a rear camera, while the premium Rockford Fosgate Stage 4 audio system delivers clear sound even at riding speeds. Chaney and Can-Am Celebrate Silver State 300 Victory
Can‐Am, is proud to celebrate Kyle Chaney’s hard-fought win at the Silver State 300, the third round of the American Off-Road Racing Championship (AORC) Series. After 5 hours of racing, only 53 seconds separated all three drivers on the podium. The racing was nothing short of epic. Kyle kept his pace on the extremely fast, brand new course, the entire race and relied heavily on his navigator Sadyiie Gray to make sure he didn’t miss any of his marks. The end result was pure poetry in motion. Kyle Chaney’s Feelings on his Triumphant win at the Silver State 300. “This is my first Silver State 300 and we stayed on pace all day – it was a fun and tight race. We saw the dust ahead of us and we just pushed as hard as we could, and we didn’t want to make any mistakes -but Saydiie was precise on her notes and so it made me comfortable knowing I could push – it made it super easy to drive the day with a good navigator. The Can-Am Maverick R was good all day. Silver State 300 is a fast track that’s hard to make up time on, so we kept up the pace with a racer ahead of us, and caught up to him so we knew we had him beat. Really happy with our win, and looking forward to coming back to the Legends Rally this summer. I want to thank Can-Am, Amsoil, Progressive, Maxxis, Raceline Wheels, Factory UTV, and my crew – I just want to thank everyone for getting me here.” Across more than five hours of racing, Can-Am drivers demonstrated consistency, durability, and race-winning performance. When the dust settled in Tonopah, NV, six Can-Am drivers and their navigators filled out the top ten positions. Phil Blurton continues to lead the 2026 UTV Pro AORC standings, and Can‐Am leaves the Silver State 300 with good momentum moving into the next race. Looking ahead, the team is all-in on preparation for the Reno to Vegas race on August 13-16.
